yeah, that's the main way you want to make a counter. :thumbsup: here's an example of a reversal def;

[State 1080, Reversaldef]
type = ReversalDef
trigger1 = Time >= 0 && command = "holdup"
reversal.attr = SCA,NA,SA
pausetime = 15,30
sparkno = -1
hitsound   = s300,3
p1stateno = 1020

depending on what type of counter you want to be, you have to edit the attributes, like for example, a counter against all attacks except supers, a projectile counter, etc.

this counter example (taken from Master Gouken's Haohmaru) performs a counter against all normal and special attacks.
