a few places have told me b4 i record to go to volume control and check mono mix an stereo but i dont have those options, after i hit recording only 3 options that come up are ''in line....rear mic...microphone'' so i uncheck mic an put it to in line...anyone know what i shud do?

now near the record button there is an little mic click it and you just enabled sound recording!

i tried that. still nothing
i had the same prob before.
you need to install an update of your sound card.
get the name of it and do an google search.
download and install.
if an message comes up don't worry just install it and then try recording.

I take my mic, and place it in a soundproof box with my headphones wraped arround the mic, turn the volume down a bit and vola.
When using snaggit i get ingame sounds. Music usualy comes out a bit screwy so i take out the stage music and put some in later with windows movie maker.

i have a c521 dell dimension , and i dwnloaded and installed all the drivers already off their site, and i havent had any luck finding a update on google :(

lol, just use Camstudio. Its free, its got Awesome quality, AND it records sound even without a mic ;D
this kind thing happens to many people lets fix his prob first....

click the bar under the cd drive and the sound drive version should appear.
