Title: Annoying Computer player habits
Post by: GhrimSand on August 28, 2009, 04:42:08 PM
Have you ever notice certain Patterns characters repeat over and over, that drive you crazy? For example, say I knock Iron man in the air, the he'll stay in the air just out of my reach, and bombard me until I eventually get K.O.ed. Or say I'm fighting Homer, (Or someone else with projectiles) and they just keep spamming the projectile button. I can't even attack them (for whatever reason) until they stop. I have a list of certain characters that really annoy me due to these patterns. Anyone else notice this?

Ooh wow please don't tell him to look at the AI file. Ai is hard to program for a beginner. Hell even for more advanced mugen coders AI is a pain in the butt. My advice is I would look for patches before actually trying to delve into code. Plus different creators have different methods and different ways of organizing there code. So you can go into one character and instantly know what they did if you are good and then go into another and your brain will explode.

When I actually finish my Shin2 Akuma im passing it off to an AI programmer. I cannot for the love of god figure out Ai coding.

Didn't know it involved coding... eh, I guess I have to adjust to AI patterns, and take advantage of it.

Yea dude start off slow. If you really wanna learn AI coding, start by editing it in small pieces. Like add an additional attack onto one paramater and see if the AI uses it and keep trying different things. Don't just try and alter an entire line of coding. Do it little by little.

It's very common that I see projectile-spamming AIs, mostly the MMX Mavericks. Go and fight Magma Dragoon to find out.

If I were good at AI coding, I'll make sure MDragoon wouldn't spam his fireballs.  :D
