If you want to use a sprite sheet, you have to use gimp or any other art program to manualy seperate the sprites into differnt images.

Try using Fighter Factory or Photoshop CS2 or CS3 or even Paint would be useful.

(Noob tip: Open your sprite sheet, then press [PrintScreen] or [PrtSc], open Paint and paste the printed Sprite Sheet, now just "cut" each sprite and paste it on another opened Paint.  :P)

Good luck.

I've been using paint with the getting sprites off a sprite sheet method, when I have come across them.. but I've learned that you can do it in Photoshop A LOT EASIER...

As for MUGEN tutorials.. if you want to check out another method, then check out mine.. It might help you more than his.. or not.. it's up to you.

Go to your MUGEN folder and then open your "docs" folder and then read everything from them, you should learn something important from them.  :O*D

It should work because I saved the file as a Microsoft Word (97-2003) document.... I really recommend that you get a new pc though.. I'm surprised MUGEN works on Windows 97... wait.. it says you're using Vista....... How could it not load on Vista....?? Try installing all of the updates of Microsoft Office on that pc you're on....
