Title: Absolutely Ridiculous AI

Hello everyone,

Ive got some big probems with some of my MUGEN Charachters.. some of them have absolutely RIDICUOUS A.I...

You start a match, and within 2 seconds they've pulled off 2 supers, 20 specials and its over.. Its really starting to get to me, its totally spoiling my MUGEN experience..

Is there any quick fix without removing the Chars??

can u send me the chars? or at least their AI files? That's the kind of AI mortal kombat chars need...

Alot of chars also have easier AI patches

a lot of chars have not any Ai implemented.

I would say over 50% have no AI at all. The entire process of programming an AI is not something that Mugen was made to do so comming up with the systems to make AIs are pretty interesting in and of themselves.

...I have some CVS chars, made by Warusaki3 and they all have decent AI, some more difficult than others... is there anyway i can copy an AI program for one of these charachters and patch to the problematic chars?? Ive no idea  :'( :'(

Unfortunately, AI's are mostly character-specific. Try opening up the character's folder. Many characters have multiple AI files or other ways to adjust their difficulty. If not, if you know the character's author you can try doing searches for AI patches.

If none of those are options, it would require editing the character's code to eliminate or reduce the AI.

In many cases the easiest thing might just be to search out a different version of the character.  I remember the first Wolverine I ever tried was Wx2 by Sander, which has a brutal AI.  Luckily there are plenty of decent Wolverines out there so I was able to find something closer to my level  ;*))  I suspect there are other War Machines you could try as well (the one I have has no AI at all if I remember right).

I wouldn't try messing with a character's AI until you have a decent understanding of how Mugen coding works.  You certainly won't be able to take one character's AI and apply it to another, at least not without serious modification.

I_Burner makes a good point.  Some character have multiple AI files in varying difficulties.  Have you ever tried, say, Kong's Hulk using the highest difficulty AI?  He literally cannot be beaten.  Rare Akuma can't beat him.  If Rare Akuma uses his Shungokusatsu, it looks like Kong's Hulk just sheds his skin and continues fighting.  Using his easy AI, it's a different story entirely.

Its alot of the Super Marvel Vs Capcom Charachters and MVC2 charachters i got from here actually...

The likes of Colossus, Sentinel, MVC2 Bison, Blackheart... etc etc impossible to beat!!!

Ill.. try looking for different AI's in the char folders, if not ill just delete them :)

oh so its kongs ai u have a problem with then yes  8=| there should be different modes of ai i think

Heh, yes, Kong's characters.  Even on "normal" AI they're really cheap.  Stick to easy.
