Title: Fixing the scarfed background music
Post by: Yuri Jacobs on November 19, 2008, 04:39:10 PM
Hello. It's been a while since I last asked for help on something in Mugen, but the music which is mostly mp3s and some MIDIs has been scarfed as of late during gameplay. When I say "scarfed," I mean that the music sounds crumbled and scratched to death like someone was intentionally changing a station on the radio until the sound messed up. Do I need new plugins or is there a chance to change something in mugen.cfg?

I... think... I had a similar problem a while back. What I did was; first, I installed a fresh version of m.u.g.e.n. (Winmugen Plus), and then I added the files in this dude's page:

http://www.esnips.com/web/mugensoundfix (http://www.esnips.com/web/mugensoundfix)

In your case, may want to try and set up the "sound fix" files FIRST and exchange whatever extra plugins you've been using for new ones, just to see if it works, because it is obvious you have got to re-install all of your stuff if you replace your entire m.u.g.e.n. engine if you want to follow my first advice.

Hope it helps %%-

Thanks, I am using Winmugen Plus and this haven't happened before. I either get no music or music with no problems.
