I decided to recreate one of my most favorite level in the Sonic 2 Beta universe, Dust Hill Zone. It is also super-jump compatible! Get it at my new website.

Totally flat floors don't really work out too well for characters with angled stances (ex: Chun-li, Fang [pictured above, case in point]) but still cool. I dig sonic stages.

Still haven't played the S2 beta, what tracks plays on that stage?

Yes, you do have a point in that, but if I modify the floor I feel the stage will lose it's original feel. The track that was actually supposed to play in the original beta is the Oil Ocean theme since the actual Oil Ocean level was using the Casino Night Zone 2 Player song instead. But in the Long Version DHZ had the Mystic Cave Zone 2-Player theme playing. It's a very long story!  ^-^

That almost makes sense. Four cuts levels = four left over music tracks used for 4 2-p versions of levels.

BTW, didn't you make a Wood Zone?

G Lux: Yes, I made a Wood Zone in my Hyper-Beaner days. I didn't really like it though, so I might start again from scratch. I also completed a Beta Labyrinth Zone(Beta as in how it looked like in the past) but I'm not sure if to release it or not.

Tenspeed: My level is themed after a Sonic 2 beta level.

Lol, Sonic 2 had four level cut from the final version.

Wood Zone
Dust Hill Zone
Genocide City Zone
Hidden Palace Zone <- sad sounding song that everyone knows in sound test, it goes to this stage.

Apparently, the 2-p Emerald hill song originally goes to Wood Zone,
the 2-p Casino Night song originally goes to Genocide City Zone,
And the Oil Ocean song originally goes to Dust Hill Zone, but Dust Hill got cut and the track when to Oil Ocean, which left the leftover song to go the the 2-p Mystic Cave Zone.

Which probably means that originally planned, there was no 2-p versus mode.

Actually Genocide City's planned tuned was Chemical Plant Zone. Wood Zone's was Metropolis, which is why many think it is probably a "past" version of Metropolis Zone. Like in Sonic CD.

Yeah, last night. I didn't get it, but if it's YTP related, that would explain why.
