I have two questions:
1) i gave my char 4 helpers. what should i do to make sure my char can't call out another helper until the the currently active helper goes offscreen or is removed?
2) what trigger(s) do i need if i want an anim to begin the moment that a projectile i launched is removed without hitting the opponent?

1) Use NumHelper = 0 or !NumHelper(ID) or etc..
2) ProjContact[ID] = 0
