Title: An Idea for my Club SyNdicate Screenpack, what do you think?

as of now, I am working on a tekken V like Promotion system for survival mode.
 
The more you fight, the chances of a higher rank, im starting this at "1st Dan and going all the way to Shihan."

After the first ten battles, your first promotion battle will take place and it will have its own bgm playing, afterwards every 5 matches will be a chance for a higher rank. if you lose, Game over buddy! Like Red did with his cvsw sp, I will make my own custom survival screen results screen showing your rank and how many battle you won.

I hope to have pics today, if not, ill have some later in the week and possibly a vid.

Why am I doing this you ask, I want my screenpack to be unique in it own way, piss off those elitist bastards, and go beyond mugen limitations in my own way making something like this compatible with if not every character but almost every character.

I think anyone who is familiar with you and your work would expect these to be your reasons for doing this!  :)

Anyway, I like the sound of what you are planning. It would certainly make survival mode more interesting (and as far as I'm concerned interesting = better). Are you planning on this being a feature that we can configure ourselves (in other words, do we get to set up what characters can appear in the promotion battles)? Picking them randomly just like any other survival round doesn't seem like it would have the same impact. It'd be a bit anti-climactic if you reached your "Shihan" bout, only to find out you will be facing a round of Duck Hunt.  o.O#

Looking forward to seeing what you've got up your sleeve with this one!

how about adding lil helper items that would help you to get up to the final rank? like lil gems thatll come out the char when the char is hit while down or something. Or before every 11th match out of 1 set of 10 (every 10 battles) you get a screen that asked you to make a decision on what u want to get (like a lil more health, a lil more defense, invulnerable for a certain about of time, etc.) cuz getting all the way up to 100th match can be very difficult if you have decent chars...

Not a bad idea Shinra.

I like the choices option better besides the gem, maybe ill do that before a ranking match just to keep things interesting in the survival mode.

heh I was also thinking of a possible bonus game or something for both arcade modes and survival modes.

the ranking match char will have boosted abilities too i hope  :O*D or maybe the screen will come up after you beat the ranking match char as an award or something

well it will be hard to program boosted abilities for iunno 10,000+ mugen chars in existence? nine times out of ten, chars will already have cheap AI's anyway so why bother?

im talking about like boosted strength, defense, speed, health, and/or chi... mulsets and poweradds can take care of that in the negative states right (or may need autopatcher to input them into the chars that one wants to add to the pack)? im mean in tekken the ai is boosted so maybe you can replace that with boosted attributes every time the rank match comes up

the lifesets and powersets would (maybe) but not the attack,defense elements

I'd personally like to see some sort of probability worked into this too. Say rolling a die and getting a reward (or possibly a disadvantageous outcome.)

Well bit by bit I'm working on this. I started a WIP thread on this but I wont have much to show soon due to my work schedule. but hopefully during the weekend, I has some sorta demo or base ready for show so users can get the general idea.
