I just colored this pic of April O'neil made by sbkMulletMan.

Colored by me:

Original by sbkMulletMan:

and then in the 9th grade a long time ago I made a postersize color pencil of Tidus.

(the picture was taken by my cell phone so it lost a ton of quality)

I'm going to post a pic of my ceramic Leonardo head later (I enjoy coloring and drawing, but I love making ceramics).

I recolored a doujin cover of SFA Chun-Li (except the pants, everything about the pants was perfect, except instead of yellow lines it had pink lines, also I added lipstick to Chun-Li, I don't know why but it seems natural to me for Chun-Li to wear lipstick).

I'm sorry, but coloring jobs are not my thing, and even so, I still think the originals look nicer....
That Tidus picture isn't half bad though, considering you were in 9th grade when you did it.  =3

Honestly, I tried making Chun-Li look more how she looks in SFA, and the picture before looked like a wip. Half of it was colored and the other half was like, all pencil. Also the artist has a weird way of making her lips look.  Also everybody has their own art style so I don't think art can be judged.  :-??

Art always seems to have an eye of the beholder catch to me.
There are people that just take a still picture of landscape or other things... and call that art.

If you go on Deviant art, you'll find about a hundred categories. Some which people would disagree on.
I've personally done all kinds of things.
From drawings, to pottery.
Even some mugen stages I've seen can be described as works of art.

Using the word "Also" doesn't help one improve, trust me on that one...

Other then that, I'm not judging what you did or how you did it. I'm just saying I prefer the original sketch (who I hope you asked permission as I know you probably did). I was just hoping to see some original stuff is all...

Stages I would definitely consider art, even more so the custom ones...
x3 Like Warner's characters....man he is one talented artist...

You might wanna think about mixing your drawing attributes with  the coloring though, try digital rt or something maybe...
