Nothing special for this one, but I wanted to showcase another DC character.

This next one, though, is one I've been looking forward to a long time - it's my 100th cover, and to mark the occasion, I wanted to go all out on this one, and also do a sequel to my 50th cover. (Below is the 50th, if you need a reminder.)

And now, here it is...my 100th sprite comic cover!

Since it's pretty cluttered, and some people may not recognize certain characters, here's a guide to the match-ups:

Superman vs. Doctor Doom
Mr. Fantastic vs. Lex Luthor
Batman vs. The Red Skull
Captain America vs. Ra's al Ghul (a Diamond palette I made)
Wonder Woman vs. Loki
Thor vs. Circe (a White Queen palette)
The Flash vs. Electro
Spider-Man vs. Gorilla Grodd
Green Lantern vs. The Mandarin (a Goodman palette)
Iron Man vs. Effigy (a Ghost Rider 2099 palette)
Nightwing vs. Deadpool
Wolverine vs. Deathstroke
Luke Cage vs. Major Force
Captain Atom vs. Chemistro (a Thunderbird palette)
Power Girl vs. Ronan the Accuser
Ms. Marvel vs. The Parasite

(Cut for space was Black Canary vs. The Steel Serpent and Iron Fist vs. Lady Shiva)

Thanks, everyone, for all the support!

It was credited to Shun & NapoleonJanomite. According to them, "Different gameplay, movesets, and sprites than Loganir's," but I think it was made off it.

I couldn't let such an eagerly anticipated character wait for too long before giving him his own cover!

Not bad!! The background is good but as an advice I would recommend a diff sprite for Swamp Thing and the other chars. Its like u have Major Force cross dress as Swamp Thing, Terry from kof and Mustapha from Candilacs and Dinosaurs!! However I still like your other posters u showed before!!  :)

I don't create any of the sprites - they're all from MUGEN characters other people make.

(Probably right that I could have messed with the Terry and Dean sprites, though...)

Been a while since I've done one of these. I'd been meaning to do one with this particular series for a while now, and this one just leaped out at me...

uhm... I'm not a great fan of superhero stuff so probably I can't understand the hype behind it... but I just think that you should stop making covers and either start:
1. making a beat'em'up (like... you know, OpenBOR or something like that)
2. making a comic (ok, you made a lots of covers, but covers alone say nothing, why not building up a whole web comic)
I mean, these covers only express your preference as regards favourite chars, and they're only accessible to those who know them. Why not making a readable story so they'll be more than just covers, but full stories (even with using ripped or edited sprites/backgrounds, they'll be something better anyway) ?

I'm actually working on #2. My first one's almost done. The covers are more practice and to keep me in shape. (Also, people can use them for load screens if they want.)

That being said, while I'm open to trying new stuff with sprites, I don't appreciate being told what I should not work on. I don't imagine anyone else in the MUGEN community would either.

I think this is the first time I've done a first issue cover of a monthly series before.

I went through a lot of potential DD villains for this cover before finally settling on the Matador, in the person of Laurence Blood.

Another one I've been meaning to get around to for a while. And yes, that is intended to be John Hartigan.

Another one that started off simple and got more elaborate as I worked. Mxzptlk is a combination of Wally, Krillin, and Eddie H.
