But there is a error that almost every sprite editor do: check his arm on standin, then check the last frames of almost everymoves, like walk or attacks. His arm simply appears on a new position.
You shoul add 1 frame on stance,with his arms going down. Them, you loop the second frame.

The pallets, the middle row, the 3 on the right. I cant seem to guess what your basing those on so Here's some suggestions.

Well depending on how meny sprites you made, seperating the spider from other colors wont be tooo hard.
Just go to your orgainal working sprites and change the color of the spider to something not used on anything else, that way you can make pallets that have the spider stand out.
But yeah those pallets look good otherwize

That said, I still think this is a perfect character for Mugen. Bone Claw Wolvie was a throw away phase, but even capcom used him, and I could see this one been made had the MvC games continued.

Its a 3-4 year old computer with AMD Athlon 3200+ 64-bit with 1GB of RAM(its really 878 MB) running at 2.2 Ghz. Ubuntu works fast and the boot speeds are faster than XP. I plan on ripping a xmen vs sf intro. I already made a sfa3 intro from sprites that scar posted.

A fist = one of the forms you can make with your hands.
A punch = a action to injure, harm, etc...

actually pete was Scarlet spider for a bit during the whole peter parker trial if i remember correctly, ben took peters place for a bit and stayed in prison while parker did something...correct me if im wrong.

Ben became SpiderMan when pete was convinced he was the clone, and his powers were screwing up, eventualy ben was killed and Pete learned it was all a set up. (Norman Osborne was behind the whole thing, working from behind the scenes)

Problem is some of the later frames are bigger than the first one . Image Ready will " cut off " the bigger frames in this situation . Rename the bigest fram 000Scarlet so it shows up first . Then just rearrange them in image ready to the right order & you'll be fine .

Well do the frames leave a trail and not disappear as the animation progresses for you guys? Or does it look exactly like how it does on the forum? It looks like he has 6 arms by the last frame.
Go into each frame of the animation that's in front of you & click on say frame 3 . Then in the the layer tab on the right , it will still show that layer one is visible . Uncheck the eye on layer one so it will not show up . Do this with all the frames so you can not see the other layers in them .
Image Ready just does that for some reason .

Let's say you have 12 frames in your animation . Put all 12 of those gifs in a folder .
Then goto file / import / open folders as frames .
Then it will open correctly & use the steps I mentioned to make you GIF .

i have an idea to add to that spidersting...i think that you could do that a punch that gets the "enemy" :P to the air then scarlet-spidey make a webthrow to get near the "enemy" and then there do a combo of some punches and at last that kick that gets the "enemy" launch to the ground ^^ and maybe in the air he can throw some web-balls to him.
That seems a little too much for a spider sting lol. Thats reaching super status.
Alright the move is done. All that was needed was some minor changes. His medium spider sting now kicks the opponent to the wall instead of knocking them to the ground. I noticed that Sludge gave his spiderman 3 spider stings(weak, medium, strong), but they do no difference in damage. I will change that. The only difference is the height in which he knocks the opponent into the air, but that doesnt seem to affect anything. Im going to change his strong spider sting now, to something else.

Well the current spider sting is the launcher which is the first part of the sprites that filthy posted. But then, he uses his strong air punch to knock the opponent to the ground, but I like that kick idea to knock them to the wall. Thx Im going to try it out. (Good thing I already have those sprites done ;D)
gotta make him differ from spidey.

I need ideas for voices. I was thinking of using spiderman tas, but 99% of the time, theres music playing in the background. I was also thinking of using spiderman and his amazing friends.
I prefer TAS, you might be able to find something or someone who can clean up the audo to reduce the background music, If you dont like that theres always the mvc sounds... But Amazing Friends, i didnt really dig that voice.

lasher, you want me to polish any of these moves up and send you better sprites? like the sling kick thing or whatnot?
as far as the voice goes, you can always use spiderma's voice from a game other than MVC, like marvel ultimate alliance, x men mutant academy 2, marvel nemesis, or even the old spiderman and spiderman 2: enter electro. I know there was a guy on the scruffydragon boards that ripped all of the voices from MUA a while ago, maybe he can help you out.

Sorry man, but that move looks choppy. Basically, the right arm and left leg don't move fluidly, leaving the whole attack looking like stop motion animation. It's almost as though you took completely unrelated frames from different arm attacks and just sort of posed them into the move you wanted.
It's not a horrible attempt, but next to an actual Capcom character's move, it wouldn't look right. You do seem to have done a decent job with the new standing HK, but having not seen the animation outside of a choppy video, I can't say for sure.

that looks weird, the back comes round to the front of his body without his legs moving, you should change the legs so that it doesn't look like he breaks his back.
Seperatly, the upper body looks great, and the lower body looks great, but together it looks horrendous.

Id be cautious using the word horrendous. Theres really no reason to throw that in. Speaking from experience it just kinda frustrates people when words like that get thrown in. I think everything prior to that was pretty constructive.

Physically possible? Probably not, but he has the reflexes of a spider, even though that move reminds me of a scorpion type move

I personaly dont think theres anything wrong with his upppercut. Its easyer for me personaly to do it that way, then the way you had shown earlyer.

I didn't say it was easy for me to do the one I showed earlier, but it is physically possible. Also, I don't hop around with tenfold Olympian agility. We can all do the choppy punch shown there - which is exactly why it doesn't quite work. We're not all Spider-Man.
The crouching punch and standing hard kick are both uncommon movements as well - but they're fluid, and dynamic. That's the point.
It wasn't "This move should look like my version," guys. It was "Here's one that looks more Spidey-ish and was easier made from existing parts." He mucked it up, I think, by trying too hard to make it look realistically feasible - something Capcom fighters don't quite adhere to.

sweet where'd you get the hoodie or did you make it?i made it custom. it turned out actually pretty good. when i look at Scarlet Spider, i didn't see a hoodie so i sewed some blue nylon fabric together to make a torn-up tathered shirt. It was based off of this:

well if not for Ben the Daily Bugle wouldve been destroyed with Peter and Norman on top of it and Peter wouldve taken Green Goblins glider in the back if Ben had not gotten in the way so if you take away what Ben did peter would have surely been killed instead. Also there was an issue a "What if" titled "What if Scarlet Spider killed Spiderman" Now that was a read. Ben still rules and peter blows goats.

Anyway, if you look at the two crouches and takes the second one's arm into mind, its not really that much taller. Also, the new crouch seems to flow into his moves better too for some reason, as if it should have been his crouch all along.

Looks really cool, but that doesnt really help much.
I know this is quite a bump here, but for the crouch, I suggest keeping it, but modifying it slightly so as it looks like he's leaning outta the way. Kinda like how chars lean in CvS2 to dodge things? Just my suggestion is all.
Thats actually a pretty good idea. I can just change the sprpriority. Im only gonna do that though if I cant make him any shorter.
THe funny thing is. That crouch seems like it was meant for him all along.
