I hope it's not a giant lizard. That idea's old and worn out.

I want it to be something alien - something really nasty looking...

But then some people said during the trailer and some pics they found on the upcoming movie, they saw tentacles, which means it could be a giant squid or something (I most certainily DO NOT want it to be a giant squid.)

The only good shot we ever get of the monster from the trailer is this one of it's back:



At this point, it's too early to identify exactly WHAT it is, although from this angle it looks reptilian in origin.

It's definitely NOT Godzilla, though, so don't get your hopes up.

and I'm pretty sure nobody wants to see another Godzilla movie (at least I don't) because like I said, the giant lizard idea is getting real old.

Sorry to dissapoint but the monster Above LOOKS convincing huh?? Its fake. No way JJ Abrams would let someone leak the monster and get away with it.

And looks like it has long Arms, not fins...

  I'm glad that design is fake cuz I don't want to see some movie about a giant mutant whale. It isn't even scary or creepy looking. The real monster better be something real cool, and I for one would be quite pissed if the monster design got leaked before the movie came out. I'm sure JJ Abrams is very protective of his monster and wouldn't let it get leaked to the public so easily. He's purposely not showing it in the trailer so people will go to the theaters just to find out what it is, which is why I hope it's not something lame and worth going to see this movie.

I don't know why, but To me he looks like a gigantic Zeiram-ish type monster.

Personally that monster would be awesome. It would not be a mutant whale, it would be an alien, whale LIKE creature. And does not slusho(viral site for movie) say they used WHALE in drinks. Maybe the dust is a claw. And the Devianart person is a cover up for a fired worker gone angry. And it is NOT taller. Statue of liberty is bigger than those buildings, and he could use the SOL as a back scratcher.

Although every monster has it's powers. It could have been flying when it knocked off Liberty's head, or it may have the power to change it's size. We don't know. Right now, it's too dangerous to assume anything. Right now, the only power we know it has is a stealth cloak.
