Even though thats my boy right there. But from how its directed and the look of the mood to the flick and the choices of Actors it looks deep like How Batman by tim burton flip flopped even cooler to Batman begins. I thought i was gonna see some distasteful nonsense but it looks heavy in visuals and on the script. PLUS its the begining of Xmen so im tryin to give it a shot.

those last Xmen movies i was like Ehhh i dunno man...sh*t look suspect. but me and my lady went to see The first one anyway. she was blown away but i was like..."eh it was ok

The funniest part about this to me is Kevin Bacon as Sebastian Shaw. XD

I don't know though, it doesn't look worse than either Daredevil or Ghost Rider, so I'll give it a shot once it's out.. Over the internet though.

I personally liked X-Men 1 and 2, though I don't think they're masterpieces by any stretch, so I'm still unsure as to how this will be compared to the other movies

im of the thought that i will give it a chance,but im sure itll be another one of those, well that didnt happen,when the hell did that happen,wtf is going on

momments, but it dosnt look half bad, but im a purest when it comes to adaptations,like i just got done reading all the Scott pilgrim vs the world books, and allthough there is

of the same straight out of the book lines,the movie is Preety much different,but i still love the movie too though

It does look lame to many. It's not based on any actual comic property. It's rewriting X-Men so far away from it's base that it resembles very little of anything from actual X-Men.

To me X-Men will always be Cyclops, Beast, Angel, Iceman, Jean, Wolverine, Colossus, NightCrawler, Storm, Rogue, Kitty.

You cats can have this version. As far as cool effects go, I could go watch one of Nic Cages crapfests and get effects, but I'd rather not.

If it wasn't called X-Men, I'd be pretty excited to see it, but knowing already how much they changed the story around it's clear that they made this for fans of the movies, not fans of the comics. I'll probably Netflix it or something.

This looks awesome!

They are making good references to the classics (school for gifted youngsters) while creating a realistic team of x-men (cyclops, emma, beast, etc...), as long as there is no Wolverine I expect this to be a great movie! (because he doesn't belong here.)

I guess I am not seeing it. There was no Azazel or bug girl when I was a kid, and Emma, and Shaw werent X-Men. Havok wasnt 20 years older than Scott.

Everyone has differant taste though.

thats not what im sayin AL. and personally 2000% i STILL say the dude zack can make a better Xmen movie period. The watchmen and now Sucker punch shows all that. i wish he did this because they would be in their actual comic costumes & keep the story the same like he did with 300 the comic. Im just saying to "sell the movie" pretty well in its trailer production it looks cool and it looks interesting. thats what im saying IMO. I didnt like the first 2 xmen movies like that but this here "Trailer" got my attention this time. And pretty much pushes me to want accept the movie for what it is unlike the last 2.

I wouldn't say Synder followed the Watchmen comics 100%. He cut out the squid, several supporting characters, the ending was different, and one of Rorshach's murders were different as well.

Not saying it's a bad film but I'm not sure if I'd say it super accurate.

Not super accurate but you know what i mean. from the characters looks and at least as close as he could get to the comic. I couldnt say that same thing about the First xmen movie. thats what im saying in my opinion. Zack is good for making sh*t "look Good" and digestable for the fans of the comic that hes making a movie about.

hmm yeh true in that degree. eh yeh,, live action movies have an effect on comics also i noticed years ago. the xmen movie costumes ended up being in the comics also after that. but then again i dont care too much for xmen comics now like i did in the 90s

yeh that would be cool. i still have those astonishing Xmen comics. from the first one up until somethin. Wolverine has his yellow and dark blue xmen suit on and i think Cyclops is like all black with 2 yellow streaks er somethin. anyway it was cool lookin. the only director that would do that justice and summon a good writer for those actors is Zack snyder. he'll make it cool to look at im sure at least

id love to see a Good actress playin as the White queen though

i remember most folks thought grace jones would play storm cuz of the mo hawk she had one time smh

but on the real if rutger hauer (Batman begins/blade runner/Dune) was magneto at the time i would have liked that. he has the grill & his voice naturally. i still have that same wizard issue when they picked all the chars and that actor as magneto out before the xmen movie. it was dead on it most ways on the choices of actors

Well compared to most films, Id say it's the most accurate. The ending wasnt really differant, how it happens is differant. It comes down to blaming Dr Manhatten, or blaming a mysterious squid monster alien attack. I can't really blame Snyder for that change for the sake of the average audience. The end still end up the same. John kills Rorschach, leaves, and Owl, and Silk live happy ever after.

It is not like this is anything new, it is a alternate universe, so why compare it to the comics at this point. To me as I said in the Spiderman thread, it is about being in spirit of the comics. So what if Emma Frost is in it or Havoc is in it, this is just the movie universe of the series anyhow. I care about it actually being good. If you want the original stuff, read the comic books, they will always be there. I wanna see different takes and looks of popular franchises (within reason), and if it is good, well awsome, if not, well there is always the original. It is not like they are making Magneto a cross dresser or Xavier a wacky zany super hero. I want it to feel like it is X-Men, even if it isn't all accurate to the history, cause in the end does it really matter if the movie was actually good and kept in the spirit of the franchise? Obviously I can't say this movie does or doesn't keep in spirit of the X-Men franchise as it is not out, but the trailer to me was......ok. I am on the fence right now when it comes to this movie.

Well I am glad the majority of fans disagree with you. Alternate takes is all Hollywood does.

By this justification you could make the argument that the Catwoman movie was a good idea, or that Steel with Shaq was a good idea, because it's an alternate reality

No thanks. I'll stick with the comics, not some Hollywood schmucks interpretation of how the comic should be presented to the general public, because they think people are too superficial to appreciate the story as it should be.

i can feel what you saying a bit but for me, as a comic reader and avid ole head card collector. gimmie the original concepts first in heaviness before dishing me a soup can idea. its actually really cool to make alternate versions since there are so many in the marvel world. very rue indeed and good valid point you made. no arguing that, but its best to make sure the movie comes on with it being KNOWN its an alternate version of the x-men universe. opening credits man it better be said.

. the reason being is because it kinda spits on the creators of the comics foundations by makin it THEIR way to approve of young fans who never read the comics but it also kinda sullies the whole reasoning for reading comics. It makes kinda a bad ripple cause what you think will happen when these kids who just now seeing the marvel characters go back and read up on them and to find out that none of this ever happened or isnt what anyone is about? you have been HAD! they got what they want, the cash. best april fools and wont be in april.

. My kids i want to know the lineage of the characters and not the twighlight tard version of what its about because then they are gonna be more understanding and can spot the garbage from the reality of it. plus the stories in the comics are written quite better and it all leads somewhere. Now i understand to fully fleshout an x men movie in 2 hours is quite a task and they have to skip some stuff, i can respect that but just make it more surreal to sell it to me.
i will only check this out via the net man, i am not so sure about spammin my hard earnd cash on something that is kinda taking what i have come to know and sell me a dream in a bottle with a big SIKE written in bold big letters on the lable.

. and shipped First Class at that.

bu you go see it and then tell me if it was good bro, then maybe Mayyyyyybe i will buy the dvd. but you def made some cool points there.
