The man is actually one of the few senators out there thats tryin to make things better! He's tryin to prove a point that you can sue anyone these days. He's sick of all the frivolous lawsuits out there, and all the judges that just let them go through court, so he did this to prove that its all gone way too far and is rediculous. This mans not an itiot, he's a courageous man exposing the stupidity and corruption and thoughtlessness of our legal system.

Well at least we know one thing. He can say he's the first person to actually hold a case (or try to) suing God. But why doesn't he sue the devil instead? I mean it would make more sense.

i have to admit , im not religious......so either way i dont care, most people of atheism or of the agnostic kind ,are the only people to see this senators point of view,while the christian conservatives ect. , post meaningless opinions about who this is blasphemous and such, they are missing the point in its entirety, you can sue ANYONE for ANYTHING.

I couldn't have said it better. For so many people of any religion, any act of free will they percieve that goes against their god or gods is percieved as a direct attack on them, in which they retaliate with extreme prejudice. Just look at George Bush. Many times during his first years in office he implied that he thought all non-christians in amercia should be thrown in jail. Not in direct words, but unless your an itiot, you could see thats what he was getting at. And if he could get away with it, he would do it too.
