It's out now? Wow, got to watch it. I've always wanted to see Mr. Jason Todd aka bad Robin in action. It's kind of weird to have three Robins alive at once. But it's awesome.

I just saw this movie and it is one of my favorite DC Animated films behind Batman: Mask of the Phantasm and Justice League Crisis on Two Earths. IT IS INCREDIBLE how dark they made it and alluded to only 50% of the violence while showing the other half WITH blood. Joker's voice took a little getting used to, but it worked in the end. AWesome. 5/5

Well it was about less than 10% accurate to the origional story. It did create a good version for the average fan to understand Jason. While it's differant, it gave the basic story so people get Red Hood at last. It built Jason up a tad though. d***, and Tim own Jason when theyre not holding back. However it did show DC can make movies about their more complex story lines, and still make them fun. This was proof. Now if they can do Damian I'll officially kiss their azz.

Alfred in shock dropping his tray seeing the DNA test results touched a nerve for me. My favorite sleeper moment. It showed how much he luvs the family like blood which is borderline like the X-Men these days. To me DC is brilliant for building something like this when Batman is so built up as a loner.

I wasnt going to expect it to be accurate to the orginal story. I mean didnt jason come back to life because of Superboy Prime's pouding on the wall to his paradise realm,
AKA: the Retcon Punch?

Agreed, this should have been the result of Superboy Prime breaking the reality barrier. Makes a hell of alot more sense.

The Superboy Prime thing really isnt a big part of the story. It can easily be left out

That just made him into a brain damaged Zombie that Talia took, and ended up putting him in the Lazarus Pit anyway to restore his brain death.

Leaving out the Superboy Prime part would be easy. It's just suprising that the author himself would change so many other things in the story so drastically that it bears little resemblence to the origional.

I think it couldve been done a little closer to the story.

Gotta remember though, each of the DC Original Movies are essentially one-shots in of themselves, and are more of an animated re-imagining of the material it's based on.

Look at the Superman: Doomsday movie for example. Dang near none of that movie happened the way it happened in the comic.

The only one of those movies that has a direct relation to anything of a source reference is Batman: Gotham Knight because that series of shorts were made to suppliment spaces between Batman Begins and The Dark Knight.

I would say that New Frontier was the closest. The only reason that I thought this one would be closer is because Judd Winnick that wrote the comic also wrote the movie. Often times the authors hate changes, and this Real World 3 survivor just embraced it. Thats why it's a tad odd to me.

and then All star Superman, Green Lantern Emerald Knights and Batman Year One  :o :o :o

I Also like the change thay make when resurrecting Jason. I think they didn´t do that in the comics because the Lazarus Pitt it´s suppose to heal the wounded, not the dead... then you got Grant Morrison resurrecting a Batman clone in "Batman and Robin"  :P

I think they mention it in Batman Hush, but also in Batman under The Hood, It´s a conversation between Zatanna and Bats. But I´m with you, if it´s call the Lazarus Pit it should also revive

The change I disliked the most was really just the way robin died. was kinda lame in comparison to the original.

Still, I really liked this movie. The Joker voice acting wasn't as good as Mark Hamil of course, but the dialogue was still written well enough it didn't matter too much. The action was animated very nicely, the only thing that bothered me is that both Batman and "The Red Hood" had WAY too many explosives, like every 5 seconds they were blowing something up. I just think they could have put some more actual combat or cool "Red Hood Fatalities" in place. xD
Overall, thoroughly enjoyed this and I think it's a must for DC fans, or even fans of good animated action movies.

What I didn't really like about the movie is that they replaced Mr.Freeze with a band of high tech mercenaries. I also didn't really like how red hood didn't use his knife as much as he did in the comic, but all in all it was a good movie.

I thought the Jonah Hex short was great. This, and the Spectre seemed to use better animation than the actual movies. DC showcase looks to be here to stay. The trailers showed several Jonah hex motion comics that are from some of my favorite stories too. I thought the Watchmen motion comic was brilliant, I cant wait to check out the Hex ones.

The pencil trick was just very cool looking. Truly the water was amazing though.
