Maybe trance, techno & house too. Especially if its mixed real good. I was hoping to see some good suggestions for Slipknot & Disturbed too. I dont listen to them but i know that they go hard from the few songs Ive heard so far.

if you are going to go for "normal music" go for something like Slayer, KTM, or the Red Chord.

Which is why I am askin for suggestions. But you have to remember that the so called NORMAL music wasnt always normal. Most mainstream artists usually fall off to me between their 1 or 3 album (rap, rock, metal or whatever). Not that they lose sight of what got them started but the masses/industry want them to do something completely different than what got them the deal in the first place. Or they put so much money into the new stuff that it completely changes the sound/style of the artist and just leaves u with a frown. *No im not saying change isnt good but damn....I find myself buying older works rather than the new nowadays, even if it is a new mainstream artist I go hunting for their old stuff. 8 times outta 10, its gonna be better than the current.

what normally happens is, you notice how an artist first album is usually great, but their next works are a POS, well what happens is that they most of the time are self produced or a small producer gets them going, they get a good sound to them, then a big producer gets in their, gives them the money, but messes around with their art style, tells them how they're supposed to sound so they can appeal to the masses so their works will sell. Which is true, because the producer will make them do what already works to ensure profit, while the artist wants to try something different and original but the producer doesn't want to take a chance losing loads of money.

So I get where you're coming from, don't get me wrong, I like a lot of the older stuff as well, I find myself listening to it more often, underground rap, metal and death metal. But man these commercial mainstream artist, man they get on my nerves.

I'm not big into techno, but The Phantom of the Opera Techno sounds tight, also Crazy Train Techno remix. I use both in my Mugen.
