Very cool great update.  Love the new effects.  My only suggestion is with the strikers.  I like them, however you can keep using the over and over again really quick.   Maybe there can be a few second delay before you can use another striker?   :)

I'm sorry to start a war here but the strikers makes the char yours Trasgo7. Not every mugen char has to be accurate and not everyone is. Sure there can be some timing tweaks but I'm 110 percent with ya on the strikers ;).

Post by: Trasgo7 on August 16, 2007, 01:58:30 PM
Thanks to everyone so far for your input.

The strikers will stay, but I will change how easy it is to call them so frequently...
This character is going to be for the Marvel VS Capcom: Eternity of Heroes project, so he's going to have some stuff that's a little more MVC-ish (like strikers).  I only have a few coding tweaks and a couple of moves left to program in before he's done.  He WILL be complete by December.  After that, I can start working on my other WIPs.

Someone asked me if I was going to convert Gigi and Lavia in a PM (but then the forum crashed and we all re-registered).
I do plan on another Warzard character conversion, but I have not made a decision as to which one...

I'm glad you like my version of Hydron!  His link on the main page is now working, so if the SendSpace link dies, just go to the Characters section on the IMT site.

I don't know why people complain about the strikers, I love your Hydron Trasgo7 and the strikers are just another fun addition to a great character. With all those Warzard chars in your sig I thought they were all wips, if you are only gonna make one more Warzard char then I hope it's either Leo or Tessa. Anyway Hydron is awesome and I Look forward to whatever you do next, good luck with completing him and on your other projects  ;) ;D

Great update! I'm really happy you chose to make this character, and made him very well. The only comment I have is with F, D, DF, kick, the velocities seem a bit off. I don't know if it's different in CFJ  than in Warzard but there he moves faster and farther. Otherwise keep up the great work looking foward to your next update and your next character.

@Trasgo: Credit is given where it's due, and this character has noticeably improved (since our last exchange).  Often times, creators find difficulty in the correction of bugs, because of their tendency to become overwhelming.  However, I must admit, you handle feedback incredibly well.

While Hydron's issues have made themselves scarce, there are some remaining points to iron out:

-velocities for every strength of Hydro Spinning.
-TargetBind values for his throw could benefit from a little attention.
-P2's state (which, at present, is a jittery, aerial frame), during Strangle Spark.

BTW, should you ever require help with your work, please don't hesitate to ask.  I'd be more than happy to lend you a hand.  I wish you the best of luck with all your future endeavors. :)

I'm glad you've had a chance to review the updated character!

1.  I know that the vels for the Hydro Spinning are wrong.  I've been testing out some coding to fix them (I want dynamic variables... DYNAMIC I SAY!)
2.  The throw Binds are kind of strange, but it's hard for me to test them since the stages don't zoom out like in Red Earth, needless to say I'll be revising them
3.  My difficulties in making code for the throw is actually why the P2 state for the strangle spark is odd...  I'll be fixing these things in a future update :P

Very lovely creation. Nice too see Warzard characters being converted.

One thing I want to tell. Hydron can summon strikes quite fast one after another. Maybe a bit too fast.
This can use some pause I think.

it looks amazing!!! but it wont really match the game very much will it?

it has a ton more colors and different light sources then all the other characters. and i feel like it would need to be resized to. kind've lik a sf3 char. being in a MvC game... ya know??

but maybe you already know all this and thats the way it was planed just like in capcom fighting jam.

what is he

A nautilus (or shelled relative of the squid...for those who flunked Biology), whose attributes were enhanced by Valdoll's magic.  This enhancement also bestowed Hydron with a form of speech.

I see what you're saying and I appreciate your feedback.  However, he will not be resized at this time.  In Red Earth, he's a boss character; as such, I think he can stand to be kind of big.  He was playable in CFJ because CAPCOM was lazy and didn't finish making CFA, so they did a quick amalgam game with a few chars that happened to be from Red Earth.  Although he won't be a boss in EoH, he will remain at his present size.

I said it before and i`ll say it now, this character is great!
Altough using his laucher and aerial raves is kinda tricky,i`m sure that the final Hydron will be even better than what the last beta already is :)
Obviously the levels for hypers will be changed so he can fit the MVC completely right?  ;D

Why it should? It has very short range and it takes 3 power bars+all your life points except 1...So i agree on the move having and easy command...but it should have yes,a command more diffcult to pull

even so it is a one hit kill not to mention if you miss you're basicly screwed, if it were easy access someone could do it on accident and end up in bad position or win the whole match :-??

His Infinity Hyper utilizes the Start button.  I did this because it's VERY hard to accidentally hit the correct sequence of buttons to activate this move.  Because of the move's attack power and the fact that it drains your own life, it needs to be something you purposefully execute.  If you are accidentally activating this move, then I can see why you'd want the command changed.  I'll take this under consideration and may have the command be just a little more difficult to pull off by the time EoH is released.

Like Trasgo7 said, it's hard to accidently pull this move off, unless you like doing the motion & hitting the Start button for some odd reason. Yes, it's easy to pull off, but only if you intentionally want to use it. Still, it that's an issue and you're gonna change the motion Trasgo7, then I'm game.

so it uses the start button? that's good to hear. yeah this was only a concern because i notice with other characters a move like this is too easy to pull off and alot of times done more by accident the purposely. keep up the good work.

I'll take this under consideration and may have the command be just a little more difficult to pull off by the time EoH is released.
so it uses the start button? that's good to hear. yeah this was only a concern because i notice with other characters a move like this is too easy to pull off and alot of times done more by accident the purposely. keep up the good work.

:| So, have you actually tried this character yet?!?

Indeed...  HAVE you used this character yet,  Mystery XIII?  There's even a text file with all the moves listed in it that's included with Hydron.
well im not much of a hydron fan but i'll give him a go, my friend uses him alot when ever she's over he plays pretty good from a visual point.
