I had an idea for a DC Trinity or Justice League game in the same vein as Avengers United Battle Force. You would play as Batman, Superman or Wonder Woman. Instead of lives there would be a system where you choose a sidekick character, so when you die you control the weaker sidekick until your hero recovers.

I made some sprite edits to show how the characters might look in game.

The sidekicks I chose to show were Robin (Damian Wayne), Superboy (Jon Kent), Kid-Flash (Wally West) and Wondergirl (Cassie Sandsmark).

I chose them since their current sidekicks in comics. At least for the most part.

There would be more sidekicks available as you progress and each sidekick would have some kind of buff or benefit to picking them.

You & my boy Uncle O should DEFINITELY partner up for this project and make it happen! (After he is done with his projects and has free time of course!)

I see New 52 and Rebirth inspiration on these sprites.

Wow, I actually hadn't checked this post in a while, but thanks for the feedback. I actually made some updated palettes for Superman, Wonder Woman and Batman . They are less saturated, but pulled directly from the comics. Also I would be super up for making a DC BOR. My main project that I'm working on is a podcast with friends, but I would def have time to help with Pixel art and basic character design if other people wanted to make one.

Also yeah, I mostly used New 52 and Rebirth. Since they are the most recent designs and some of the newer characters like Jon and Wally II haven't been in much. It's a chance to show them off in a game.

More updated palettes. Again, way less saturated than the others, but I think they work for the style I'm going for versus something like my Carol!Cap sprites where saturated colors fit the look better.

One day when I have more free time on my hands, I'll try to recolor some of the sprite sheets I have to make some animations.

A pair of sprites based on a Starfire redesign I made a while back. Her outfit would be a form of symbiotic plant life that can shift and change to be any clothes she would want. She feeds it with solar energy and in return it filters out any biological substance or radiation that could possibly harm her.

Thanks! The pose I referenced was actually from one of Amanda Conner cover for the comic.

Not DC related, but I guess this is turning into a general comic sprite thread.

I made these a while back, but recolored them recently. The look is a mix of comics and Armored Adventures.
If I knew enough about Mugen I would make it myself.

Pepper Potts/Rescue? amazing work!

I like this a lot  :Terry
cool idea to mix classic and Armored Adventures.

You made me think that I sprited an Iron Man and Mandarin from Armored Adventures, I need to
search them.

Have you considered working with NES color scheme?

I assume you have used Sunsoft's Batman for Robin... so the idea just hit me.

It would be fairly easy to rip stages and there are plenty of bases you could use (Vice Project Doom, Batman, Batman Returns, NARC, Strider, Shinobi, Ninja Gaiden, Castlevania, Sword Master, Werewolf, Captain America, Contra...)

It would be tricky to work details, but I see you have some issues with pal and size consistency... maybe shifting to a lower range of colors and details could be a nice start for you.

I considered it. These were mostly just for show, so I wasn't too concerned with having an over varied palette. I think the NES idea could work. I mostly used palettes directly from comic pages to make each sprite look more like the real thing. If that makes sense.

I just keep coming back to this Starfire design. This time I wanted to see what she would look like in Mugen, so I edited a Rogue sprite and used that one Spider-Woman sprite as a reference for her upper half.
