Mind if I can see the email confirmation? Not saying he didn't of course, just I have a problem with this sort of thing to an extent if there's no okay, as we'd be pretty ticked if someone took our custom sprites for a ride would we not?
i cant atm.

He didn't: the chars are high-res.

Btw, about that email, I really want to see that, as it's partially for personal benefit as well (I'd like to get the confirmation to release a few things I'd made plus have an email to send him some fixed sprites I'd done for Snorlax)

Oh *now* I see what you mean...yeah, seems he isn't setting the scaling at .5/.5 like he should for some reason.

Well heres a question.
Sence its not mugen, shouldnt taking sprites from it be the same as taking sprties from any video game?
The site is in japanese so who's to say any e-mail sent to him will even get answered.
If the people making this knew about mugen or cared about it at all, they probably would have made this a mugen fullgame instead of something else.
Sure snk and capcom have been written by sprite editors before and given the ok, but other companys havent and we still get sprties from them.
Sure go ahead and write them, and if they bother translating your e-mail and saying yes then cool.
But what if they say no? People are going to still do it any way arnt they?

Dont get me wrong, I always e-mail people and ask for permission to use their stuff if i want to use someone else's work unless they say on their site its ok.

My point is, if no one heres back from the makers of this game, why should that stop the relese of this character.

It's really more a case with stuff like this, you don't want to step on someone else's toes and have them react badly to it (to the point of canceling the project as a result). Fighter Maker chars and stages are pretty easy to rip from truth be told :\

For the record I'd cleared this line of questioning last night with Acey, speaking with her over MSN. I'll give Psycho Jolteon a shout now that I at least know where to look for him, see if this can be confirmed ultimately or not.
