Please, tell me what you think of the stance and the colors. I don't mind going back to the drawing board for a new stance. I just thought I'd switch it up a little. Please, give me some input. Thanks team!

Looks pretty awesome, but I don't know if the body position suits Mr. Sinister. It'd rather work for my Tombstone. Sinister is not the bully type. Nice drawing tho.

I don't know if the body position suits Mr. Sinister.

Thank you... Could you recommend a position or send me a pic of one. Then, I will draw based off that... Do you think the coloring and shading is ok?

I think your first stance suits him more. Also I like the fluidity of it. The only thing you need to fix, in my opinion, is the colors and try to replace the head with the one from your second stance. I like that you listen to feedback and keep on trying. Sinister is my all time favorite character as well and nothing's better than a fan creating his favorite character. If you keep going this way, you will create something beautiful.

I agree totally with the stance... Now that I look at it, it does make him seem more like a boss character. Boss character is what I'm going for (Hence, the enhanced size). I'm going to go back and create a line art for the original stance. I already exchanged the heads. I will begin the shading and hopefully have a similar animation soon. Thanks so much for the input Dev and everyone else that have encouraged me to improve and bring Sinister to mugen.

One more thing: I see you like shading. Shading is great, but be careful not to add too much. I like the shading from your second stance, but in the first stance you added a bit too much. Good luck and I can't wait to see more.

You're right on the shading, but my understanding was limited on the first stance. I used the pencil for all my rendering and sprite work. Now, I got just a little bit more understanding on how things work and the CPS marvel vs. capcom style.

I've got a new hand-drawn stance for Sinister...
(click to show/hide)

I'm still looking for flaws in it. So, please be patient and I'll have it soon... Thank you all sooo much for your interest. I took some advice from navsmed41 and there is no cape/stripe work just yet.

This head was heavily influenced by an image already done on the net. So, I did "cheat" some.

the sprite looks clean & so cool, maybe the hands are too big according to my memories watching the animated series/comics

I'm glad you're animating the cape separately, focus on each part bit by bit. The stance quite often is the selling point of the whole character, so take your time.

Thanks for the advice... I resized the hands and I will complete the stance last. It's taking too much time for me to think up a perfect one. Breathing or rotating upper body or both. So, I'm going to move on to the walk motions. Thanks again for the input, its greatly appreciated trust me. If you have any ideas please comment. I'm constantly checking on here. Thanks!!!! Google search a free program called 'squrts water reflections', you can take a 24 color sprite and add "waves" to it.

That will give it an almost ghostly movement automatically. Beyond that, you can just add breathing to Sinister himself.

I'm sorry it's taking me soo long to update... had to work a lot this weekend. I've finally chosen a base for the walking animations. Currently, I'm still working on the walk animations.
