HAHAHA  :DxDie Hope so, man. Anyways, I was shocked when I saw the cartoon movie posted in here with classic Aquaman moving along carried by flying fish.  ;*))

Update: I think I've got all the get hits done. Special states, like Dizzy, frozen and electrocuted not done yet. So maybe not. =/

Will need to sprite the dashes and will have basics done. Then I can focus on attacks. :P

Been kinda busy and with a sinus infection lately. Just started spriting his first punch today. :)

Why does your New 52 Aquaman look different from the official Aquaman? He wears gloves, not wristbands with a missing hand replaced by a hydro one.

I feel like that would be a bit op, i thinks that the basic specials should use the trident.

Ok, so I haven't worked in this in a while. I think I was working on the first punch. May try spriting him some more here soon, especially as July 4th weekend approaches. I'll have some free time then I think.

Been looking at the code. I do have a code question. Is there a way to prevent the character from jumping while in a forward or backward dash, without taking away control from the player?

Does that question make sense to you coders/programmers?

I know it is too late, but I have seen Aquaman in the DCnU and he looks nothing like the Aquaman you're spriting.

I've got a solid idea on what I want for him. I'll be focusing much more on how he'll function as a legit fighting character. My previous WIPs I didn't take into account how their moves could work well in combos and how it could provide a good balance against other characters.

Plus, I have a feeling the current Arthur will be seeing some visual changes soon. I think I saw him wearing a beard in one of his future covers?

I agree bearded Aquaman feels more like a mythology/king of the seas.

But the original orange and green is also wiked!

I haven't played with your new chars, i thought they look awesome!

I hope this one and more chars get underwater modes, because this is where Arthur would be most powerful.

Hey Twin, I'm not sure if you're still looking for a quick way to add scales to his look, but you can always use the infamous mesh sprite. If you want, I made one for you and did a couple test images, one with two mesh sprite overlays at 15% for a smaller scale look, and the other with only one mesh sprite at 15% opacity for a normal scale look. If your'e decent at Photoshop or Gimp, it would take very little time to add the mesh to the complete set of sprites. Or if you're not up for it, but do want to add the scales, I'll do it for you. Anyway, good luck man and keep on keepin on.

I personally like the first one that uses the mesh sprite twice.

Hey, Playing Enemy, thanks for the post. I already have a way of adding scales that I've implemented in PhotoShop. But thanks for the help!

For everyone who keeps asking about the look, it's BASED off of New 52. Costumes changes so often in comics, what if the New 52 changes? I'm not going to change all my work for just that.
The ONLY difference right now is his hands don't have gloves. It was much quicker and easier to use the hands the sprite base came with. :P
I started this WIP because I really love the New 52 Aquaman. Whether you consider this New 52 or not, doesn't matter. Either way, it's still Aquaman and he'll be a cool character when he's finished one day.

I'm pretty sure I checked the whole thread and didn't see any sprites with them in effect, I hope I'm not just blind. I like surprises though, so rock on man. Good luck on him, and try to stay motivated. Just remember we all only do hobbies out of passion. If anyone ever gets bored, it's because you're not constantly pushing yourself to the next level and trying to improve and learn.
