What's not nice about it?
The animation is to stiff.

There are a magnitude of things wrong here:

0. His left arm grabbing his left seems faster then the recoil or the same speed. There arm more frames here then the grab. it two frames to grab the arm. 4 or 5 depending on how its looked at for the recoil animation. Also burr starts last.

1. His knees are locked. With the shot coming from the front the inertia would reek havoc on his legs. 

2. Sliding. The inertia may cause some sliding back but it wouldnt slide back into place. (Slide forward into the starting position of the animation.)

3. The inertia doing the sliding wouldnt allow his left leg to rotate left. With his hands being force over head by the shot. his weight is centered. Its not being directed left or right. and all of the weight is being transferred to that leg so no need to rotate it or rather it wouldn't. The only exception would be if the shot sent his WHOLE body sliding back. (See Comment after the picture)

4. The over all problem here. Scrap the leg and keep the upper portion of his body. The current stance is that of a upside down Y. The stance is unnatural if the shot has enough force to cause to arms to flail over his head causing sliding and rotation together while remaining in place with sliding foot not being the that which rotates. You see what happened while describing it? that was a run on sentence. Also it was not composed well. Like the animations physics. The best thing to do is anchor down is weight. this would stop the sliding and the unnecessary rotation of the leg.

see how the legs are bent? this would give more control over the shot. He's prepared for the recoil. legs are bent so that give enough so the force wouldnt hurt him. But also stable enough to keep his in place and not move. this way he can fire consecutive blast. He could dodge after firing. Etc. There are other poses. invent one. the best thing to do is test the animation YOUR SELF. stand up and act it out. record yourself if need be.

BUT

Back to my forth point:

As said  its unnatural if the shot has enough force to cause to arms to flail over his head causing the rotation and sliding together. Another thing you could do; with the knees locked in that Y stance the weight is centered. Thus his lower body is completely stiff. As a whole X slides back with his foot rotation indicating loss of traction. The legs would stay completely straight with the exception of that foot and knee rotating ONLY. you have to add dirt clouds to the feet and speed up the animation to imply force. Its would appear to be a very powerful and stable shot. The only recourse would damage to his back, maybe. (Im going to have to use that one in Quint. lol) One could Also use his other arm as a stabilizer and use it to reduce the recoil to little to nothing to give it some "umpht"






As it stance its a smooth and clean animation but it a cheap animation.

I glade your still working on them. I do realize that everything aint going to be perfect which is why i dont comment on everything posted. Most of the time there still wip but people want to show them off. but it can be excellent which why if i give feed back its critical.

Most people just show groupie love. Dont give real feed back. I dont want to be that way. I want to help people. For me on my wip the only two people seem to give me good feed back on how to fix things are O lu and Gatling Punch Ralf. Mad props to them and i want to help others in the same way if possible.

How do I fix the lower body for this animation? I know I got to make it move, but how would that work for this stance? I should I just scrap the bottom part of the stance and make a different one?
if your talking about the legs then add a slight lean forward. Have him lean into the punch.......

I don't know. I am assuming around Juggernaut size? Maybe close to that. His upperbody shouldn't show much from the cockpit.

I vote for a new style standing, forget this old one , lets try something new, I know how hard is to create standing for Megaman chars, I had some hard times with my Zero

I started this MVC Megaman X project, created the initial sprites and all the edits including the adjustments were made from my sprites that I created except for a few animations. Most of the people who helped me will even admit to this.

I am looking for more spriters to continue spriting him in my place because I have been busy with real life. I have 2 jobs, am attending college and have a kid. I don't have much free time to sprite, but I don't want the project to get canceled. So seeking spriters to work on expanding the sprite sheet in my place is the best option right now to keep the project going. If I find some more free time to sprite, I'll get back to work on X.

I have given credit to everyone that has worked on my MVC Megaman X project. I'm not monopolizing anything. The sprite sheet and future character when completed, is and will be open source. If you have a problem with the sprite sheet getting put on hold until I find some spriters to work on the project, join the spriting team and help expand the sprite sheet.

I had asked Rage for her help spriting, not because I feel I can't sprite, because if I felt that way, I would have never created a sprite sheet for MVC Megaman X. AxKeeper, although not the most popular member of the Mugen community, had seen me develop my sprites from the very start. I admit that I am not the best spriter in the world and need much practive to improve my skills. To make sure the sprites are of high quality, I have been asking good spriters to help me improve and expand the sprite sheet. Rage was one of the members that asked for help expanding the sprite sheet, because I admire her spriting skills and felt she had an interest in Megaman-related characters. Of all people, I asked her more than once, possibly 3 times. I had no intention to annoy her or harrass her. I just understand that sometimes people may change their mind later. So I had asked her from time to time. This was also the case with Balthazar, who is another spriter that I admire, except he actually helped me and I feel it improved the quality.

I am just trying to create the best MVC Megaman X that I can, with help when I can. There are other Mugen projects that come from the efforts of teams and their projects get put on hold too. Mine is not the only one. Perhaps you could take out some anger on them for a matter in equality (joke).
