My current ideas for gameplay, concerning character movement are:
Forward Dash (Forward, Forward)
Backward Dash (Back, Back)
Double Jump (Up, then Up again while in mid-air)
Super Jump (Down, Up) - Cannot double stack with double jump
Air Forward Dash (Forward, Forward while in mid-air)
Air Backward Dash (Back, Back while in mid-air)
Wall Slide (Back, Back while next to the wall in mid-air)
Wall Climb (Hold Back during Wall Slide+Press appropriate direction of the wall. For Example: Hold back+Left to climbing left wall)
Roll (Hold Down+Forward or Backward, depending on direction you want to travel

During Wall Slide:
Punch
Kick
Buster Shot
Jump Off Wall will transition into a regular air state, which will allow him to perform default air attacks (punches, kicks, specials, etc)

This is an open source project, the only conditions being that no one uses any part of this character for closed source characters or hentai characters. If any part of this character is used for a character, consider that character now open source. The material in this project is for open source projects only!

This is just an idea for now, but what if I make a hyper combo where he uses a ride armor? I thought it would be really cool if we could actually give the ride armor hyper combo about 3 basic attacks to make it look really neat, keep it from being redundant in it's animation.

Ride Armor
Light, medium, and hard punch
Light, medium and hard kick
Forward Dash
No jumping, crouching
Walk forward and backward
Super armor effect, no get hit animations
Cheap imitation of Megazord or Gundam style fighting
Level 2 or 3
Timer with countdown meter

The following are ideas for X Armor Hyper Combos:

Dragon Claw has a super/hyper combo where he jumps onto the wall and performs a flying crash, like a Nova Strike. I think imitating the same hyper combo with X wearing the Ultimate Armor would be appropriate for my X.

For a grapple hyper combo, I was thinking that the Gaia (sp?) armor could be be worn and he would perform a dash grab, probably a shining fingers grapple to the face of his opponent, drag them to the corner, sort of like Rugal of King of Fighters, smash them against the wall and then perform the Data Destroyer (is that the right name for that green energy attack?) When he performs the Data Destroyer, it can look bigger, sort of like Chun Li's hyper combo with that energy orb attack where energy surrounds her body.

For the Shadow Armor, perhaps doing something similar to Bovery23/Black Chaos's Strider Hiryu hyper would be cool. Like the one where he gets his opponent into the air and then performs multiple jumping slashes.

For the Falcon Armor, maybe a hyper combo into the air with mutliple projectiles falling from the sky would work. I forgot what it's called. The energy projectiles were blue, I think. (Sorry, it's been years since I've played the PS2 X games.)

I have asked Ramzaneko if he would like to take a shot at spriting these, because he said that he is an expert on what the armors look like and his Maverick Hunter Zero WIP looks great. So I would like to leave this work to him unless he turns it down.

I agree I think "Rapid" kicks like chun-li's from SF are a little overboard but one strong Drop-kick should be fine. (Just think of the wall jump in MMX and instead of a wall think of Vile's/Vava's Head)

No, the one I was going to use had mobility. It was going to be modeled after the official art, like the rest of this Megaman X. The ride armor I saw, had longer and more mobile legs. It was like something off Robotech.

Rapid kicks? I was thinking more along the lines of a basic low, medium, then high kick.

I'm liking the first one for the Falcon Armor. This stuff looks great, man. I can't wait until you have enough material to display a hyper combo. That's going to be crazy awesome.

He mentioned wanting to help, but couldn't sprite. So I took it as an implication that he would be willing to code, since that would be the only skill left besides voice acting. I'll send him a PM. He's been contacted.
