Dude I upload videos of video games, promos with my friends, etc..and like ONE cat video since I've started working on this project and you guys get on me for it.   \-/o BAH!

Just for that, I should upload a new cat vid instead. Hahah.

I know I said I'd probably work on Blackthorne first but I ended up making Cyclops beforehand instead.  :P
He is a very close-combat character, and also the first character I've created for this project who's super meter is constantly refilling, much like the characters in my Mega Man X - Scrap Metal Arena project.

I found this necessary because his projectiles are rapid-fire, therefore consuming the super bar much quicker.

hey, I liked it a lot. I think its a nice addition to the roster.

I just don't like two things:

1- he doesn't need afterimages when he runs, because it gave a speed feeling which Cyclops doesn't have.
2- Where is your cat on the game? :)

MDI, any plan to release a beta wich already done chars?

1 - I know he doesn't need it, I guess its just a personal preference. I like to have afterimages for most moves that have to do with an increase in speed or momentum for the characters.

2 - Go to your room young man.

Obviously the game is quite playable right now, but it isn't at a point where I'd be satisfied to release it, even as an early version.

DAYUM! you took it back with this one!! lol great great choice of character man 8). the after images is pretty damn cool to me :-??. its a treat to see a lil spice up to cyclops from that game. man i didnt beat that game till YEARS later on my modded xbox. i could never beat that game on the snes. it was a love hate thing. i loved the music and stages but i hated the difficulty omg man. the music from Gambit was kick-f*ckin-@ss man. most of em in general though but his was my top fav.

And this is the stage i was talking about with cybernator you may like to use or rip for later...

(the cat is probably in end credits)
Cybernator is one of the best games on snes, also Front Mission - Gun Hazard, it was kick@ss :)

Very nice. I had only done one Demon's Crest stage so far, this definitely helps.

Hell, that bg in X-Calibur can't be separated from gradient, and not sprite, but fx based. Still I've ripped it, there's 141 frames to make full sequence of fog/fullbg and 17 for cityscape only. Packed all of this goodness in this 7z file http://www.ex-temp.ucoz.com/x-calibur.7z . Will post separated from gradient first layer objects later, hope somebody will make stage(and may be not only one, but some custom ones) out of it. ;)

He is a cool guy, and I'm pretty sure he authorizes us to use it.

I'll give you guys a more specific idea of what stages I'd accept for this project.

-Nothing 8-bit

-Content from 16 or 32 bit games is what I'm basically going for.

-The more flat the floor, the better. Example,


-There will be very few exceptions, but I do not want stages with floors such as this,

I made the stage from Silhouette Mirage, and I like how it turned out..but it seems much more suited for regular fighters then small 2d sidescrolling characters, especially since the sprites in Silhouette Mirage were rather large. Like, Mega Man 7 size at least.

-Nothing from any Mega Man games. If you wish to contribute any Mega Man X 1-3, Wily Wars, or Mega Man 7 stages to me then I'd be glad to use them for my MMX - Scrap Metal Arena project. (As seen in MFG Forums)

-Content wise, I'm not going for anything specific, but I guess I'd prefer the stages to not be too wacky and colorful. Nothing from games like Super Mario or Kirby, for example.


P.S.

I may use that Sentinel base stage by DCat, I'll see.
