WiP: Star Gladiator/Game-That-Hayato-Was-From - Vector

Before I become too lazy to do anything, I've decided to try my hands at making a MUGEN char. I wanted to make a Capcom character, and after playing Star Gladiator again, I was inspired to do a Star Gladiator. Besides, Hayato needs a bash buddy. Although I wanted to do Gerelt (as he is the best character there), I couldn't do very good sprites of him. So I changed my plans and am doing Vector instead. I've already got his stance and mid punch done, and will code the thing once all the basic sprites are done. I'm currently working on his walk and Gigantic Hammer!

Here's how his mid punch will look:



And here are the crappy Gerelt sprites which anyone can use if they really want to (why would you? :P):



Comments on how to improve and laughing at my sprites are all welcome! By the way, I'm probably going to take ages as I have to study for my last year of school. Cheers.

This is a great idea! You're a bit hard on yourself though, your Gerelt is actually pretty good. The only problem is his body is too small. Maybe use a larger base?
Your Vector looks really good too, you're off to a great start. I'd love to see Zelkin, but I don't have the stones to try him, lol.

You really shouldn't be so hard on yourself... those Gerelt sprites look pretty good, actually. I think you should keep going with it (and remove it from being open source, of course...) ...

Thanks for the nice comments. I still think my Vector sprites are missing something. If anyone knows and wants to point it out to me, DO IT! I  welcome change. About Gerelt, I probably am never going to make a char of him as despite what you guys say, the sprites still look iffy to me. And he's small cause I used Hayato and Jin as bases, but he was just an experiment anyway.

About Vector's progress, it's going okay despite interruptions because of school and studies. Although I wanted to do Gerelt, spriting Vector is quite fun. I've done his stance and 1 intro. I'm also changing his med punch into a high punch.

Sprites: 4%
1 intro
stance
low + high punch
dash

Coding: Zilch! Until basics are done.

Currently Working on med - punch and walk. Cheers!

EDIT: I can't get images to show even though i did it before. I'm such a n00b. Going to try another image hosting site.
