He looks great, especially the face..much more capcom like and much better :) I say go ahead and keep reworking him so he ends up having a different look and feel from the EoH version.

Tell me if im knockin on capcom's door, these are protoype sprites for the new XR styled Bass. Im going to reshade his armor to appear lighter as progress continues but these are what I came up with as of today.
YEAH, the finger point! That's what I'm talking about, he totally needed that.

XR-Sprite style: 3 colors for the armor, 3 colors for the legs and arms, and 3 colors for the skin. Shaded in capcom style, with no shiny spots. This style mainly pertains to megaman characters
XR-Gameplay style: Consists of MvC style without a recover roll, but an added Dodge Roll and evade from CvS; and a perry from SF3.
Thats how the gameplay will be for Megaman XR (Game Title)

on topic: i like both lol but there can be only one (highlander saying :D) and i would have to say i like the new one becuase the lighter shading makes him look cleaner and more crisp

See that was the problem, the palettes were unchangeable in the recent release, there was always an unchanged pixel somewhere if you tried to change it. and you really couldnt tell where his outline was so I brightened him up so his outline could be shown different from the rest of his armor.

Ive been trying to make some palletes with the beta that was released but its nuts ~X( I was able to make a navy blue one, damn mediafire, and posted it before. Anyway, i had a hell of a time with it trying to find what color was where but when I got it blue it mde things so much more easier. still a difficult pal tho.

Ok, I found the problem. In Bass's SFF, sprite 93 doesn't have "shared palette" selected, so everything after that sprite will not change. The way to fix that is, select "shared palette" on sprite 93 and save the file in FF. That will fix the problem with his sprites changing while in battle.
That made making pals much easier for the beta. Gold made 3 really nice ones over in the Graphic section.

lol. Maybe it'll be like the Sony/Dark_Alex situation. He was so good at hacking their PSP stuff that they offered him a job, lol. Maybe you'll get a job with Capcom, lol.

I can see the differentio factor from the Bass we're playing with. If this Bass is going to be in Megaman XR, then I congratulate your work and I hope that you include Treble in his attacks. Dr. Wily did create Bass to counter Megaman (even though he is the first robot to ever go Maverick and oppose his creator).

The only suggestion I have for this guy is perhaps it would be good for him to have beam hitting animation when he uses his beam cannon? Also adding flash effects for every fierce/special attack would make him more of an impactful character.

Well, ChAoTiC just recently announced his return to Mugen over at the Team Reploid forums, and Etg has been showing off some of his latest work on "Rockless", and Slowcar is close to done with Magnet Man, so things are still going, just at a slower pace than before. This usually happens to every project so I wouldn't worry about it too much.

Yes, im workin on em now. the ones in the screenshots are place holders. they are from a resized sheet from by buddy Mr. 47. The animations are sweet though. it looks great.

Its the dynamo attack from rm & f. its the same command as the gospel boost but only in the air. thats right gospel boost can only be done on the ground now. Its a 3000 power move and it takes a lot of hp. Thats 5 hypers in total now! :w00t:
