Rolento (MvC)

A Must have for any MvC compilation game, Here is Rolento. In an attempt to help him feel more like his SF Alpha counterpart, here is the latest update on Rolento. He now has his "Take No Prisoners" Hyper base of the move from SF Alpha was well as his 3 throws from SF Alpha. He also has a ground roll that will knowck over the opponent. Besides that his Wall Jump can now be performed in the air as well as various tweaks here and there. He's still not as clunky as a SF Alpha character but there is more of the source material here now.

you're right when u say he's not as clunky as a SFA char, but he's very good, the best rolento I've ever seen so far

It's only a shame that the rest of the holy trinity (of which Guy and Cody are a part of), Maki, Sodom and Thrasher (the guy who kidnapped Jessica) are not in EOH yet.

acey girl, you are amazing and a true gift to mugen. This should prob go somewhere else but what inspired you to create and does your bf/baby daddy/husband play too?

Lé Bugs/Feedback:
- Small portrait is Misaligned (Or too small?)
- HP in air is Spammable/Pretty cheap to use lol (There should be some pausetime between HP in the air IMO)
- Grenade/Knife Throw doesn't make an explode/Hit Sound when it hits the ground (It only makes sound when it hits the opponent)
- If the opponent is in the corner, and you perform Tank tread the tank stands on the corner and keeps hitting him for some little time (Its not supposed to stand still and attack AFAIK :P)

- Rocket Tank can be done multiple times after eachother, So you can see 2 Tanks on the screen attacking:

- When you've missed with Tank Tread it takes a bit long to return to the match IMO
- This happpened after doing Rocket Tank in the air (after that I can play/attack/move in the air):

Common? I thought it was just that normal bug that can happen with every char but you may never know :-??

It's a stage issue. Who ever programmed the stage set the leftbound and rightbound too small. Good stuff though, thanks for the report.

I'm gonna try his update tonight!! I was wondering will that stage be available in the no too distant future (the park or riverside stage) ? Congrats on the party and keep up the good work!! I seemed to have come back to infinity at a very good time!! :thumbsup: :thumbsup:

just goe done testing this one too. u can spam the crap out of his aeriels especially the mp one. his sweep takes off a huge chunk and can be put in a two hit combo for good damage. his hyper bg last way to long and after the tank hyper it takes him a while to get back in screen. also why does rolento jump so low to the ground???if i remember correctly rolento jumps pretty high. crouching mp can be spammed and put into a 6 hit crouching mp to sweep twce combo. his sweep is way too fast. he doesnt combo well in the air unless u spam his mp 3 or 4 times for about 10 hit then finish of with hp and upon landing go into hk sweep twice.

As a Rolento fan I feel this character was... lacking. He feels sluggish and he doesn't quite have the mobility of his SFA counterpart, who was pretty much a jumpy lil bastitch that could hop around the screen if used in the right hands.
Also, his air knife throw is kinda spammable as you can just keep doing it until you hit the ground, Crouch HK can chain into itself (although it knocks down after the second hit. Odd bit of coding), MP can chain into itself, and I find it weird how his HP can juggle. Take No Prisoners doesn't quite have the impact it had in SFA3 and is kinda too fast and the super combo just seems tacked on.

:-?? Im going to have to agree with him, I'm a rolento player too, and it just doesnt seem as fluid as your other characters at the moment Acey. Well, you know what to fix so I'll be looking foward to it.

I can't really say how fluid Acey's characters are in comparison, but MvC Rolento was, to me, not fluid.
Also, a couple more suggestions and opinions... work on that wall jump, PLEASE!? It's so floaty and unnatural.
Although I don't think Rolento should have the tank supers (considering his supers in SFA3, which can all be boiled down to traps), I'll leave that alone.
Will his SFA Down, Up jump even be in a future release? I'm more used to his horizontal leap than a super jump.
Any other problems I have could be chalked up to this being unfinished, so I'll leave it at that.
