Any chance the updated Astonishing Cyclops will be in this game? I know with his level 3 hyper it'd take away from the story, but IMO this is the best Cyclops i've played. Great video btw, been looking forward to this game since announcement. Keep up the good work.
Unfortunately Verz' new Cyclops will not be a part of the project. We've already invested a lot in ZVitor's version and since this is a sequal from 2010's XSC it seems best to use the same Cyclops as well.

Nitpicks aside, this project is looking great. The spritework looks nice and consistent, there are some really imaginative moves and ideas shown in that preview, and as previously mentioned the gameplay looks really smooth and rewarding. Take your time fellas, and keep up the good work! :)

...What I didn't like, however, were the apparent infinites from Rulk's gamma charge and Spiderman's web throw shown in the video. Hopefully I'm wrong on this one and there's some system in place to prevent those moves from being endlessly spammed, but if not, you might want to look into that....
Not, they're not infinites. They can only be linked a finite number of times.

Alright, that's good to hear, and actually adds some pretty cool depth to the combos. Thanks for clarifying guys!I should add as well, the only special moves that can be linked are the ones that move the opponent around the screen significantly. They are the only ones that cause enough hit stun in the opponent to allow your character to recover from the attack and repeat it, allowing you to chose if you want to push into the corner or towards the middle of the screen.

My thoughts are minor, you cats can accomplish in a year what will likely take me another 2 years. I could point out petty things like Colossus looks way too big, or ask why yet another Hulk is cursed with the 90's belt, or Iron Man not looking much like he did in the series. Prehaps Bald Hulk should be there (maybe)
However thats not meant to be smartass or anything. I understand there has to be compromises to get your visions off the ground. I am the last person in the world that should nitpick.
So all and all it looks to be a really nice looking game based on the early preview ::salute::

Well, yeah Uploaded is a pretty crappy host if you bulk download, but here's all four issues collected, try not to screw up downloading it since you can only download one file there per day.

I have to say, though, what I'm really looking forward to is the boss fight(s). One of my favorite parts of Second Coming was the well thought out boss fights. I'd expect to at least see Phoenix Cyclops, though I'd hope the other Five are involved as well, either as strikers or fights of their own. Of course, this is just my hope. I'll be cool with whatever happens.
An idea I had was that I'd like to see X-Sanctioned Cable and The Incredible Hulk as secret characters. That'd be cool.
I do have one question. Does your working on this game mean that development of Second Coming as ceased? I do love it as it is, but there are a few things that could be done that would have made it feel more 'complete,' such as endings, and original Xavier moves for Rogue, that kind of thing.

X-Men: Second Coming still has at least one more update in it, so we're not done there.

Looking at the video again, I think the best visual improvement between this game and Second Coming is the lifebar. Not only is it really slick looking, but the three super meter divisions are nice and clear. That's one of my few gripes over Second Coming, really, is there's just a little guesswork involved in how close you are to gaining that next level of super.

We are very aware that many people are especifically looking forward to the character releases to add to their own Mugen. It is our intention to provide all of these characters for download following the public release of the game and the initial public testing phase of AvX. In other words, once we can take a break from AvX we'll make all the characters ready for individual release and get them in your hands as soon as we can.
