Title: Problems with stage music
Post by: squidgy617 on November 21, 2009, 04:36:31 PM
Alright, so I've been trying to use some stages lately. I tried using Metalman, Crashman, and Fireman's stages. I put the music files in the sound folder, but when I started one of the stage's, the music was stuttering and fuzzy and quiet, and its really kind of hard to explain. I tried to use Audacity and change it to 16-bit, but when i exported it, it didn't change. I double-checked, and, for some reason, it said that the sound was still 32-bit! Does anyone know what the problem is?

Help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Thanks :) Problem solved! However... I've encountered another problem...

For some reason, I can't play Wily Castle or Cutter-Stage. Wily Castle has an error message that says something like "error reading sprites/stages flashman.mp3 or something like that and the cutter stage says "Error Message: Music file not supported: sound/cutman_red_hot_paradise". I downloaded both of these stages off of the site.

Did you put the music into the music folder?

To fix this, it might be that the ".mp3" is not added after the MP3's name, which it does not read it as an MP3, but just as a file. So, instead of sound/songname you would put sound/songname.mp3.

Ah, thanks Manic! It worked! I still can't get Wily Castle to work, although I don't mind as much, as its not actually the stage I was looking for.
