Well from what I understand Alpha is a hole different story. So I don't think Sagat killed Dan's father during SF II. I assume Dan is alive since he doesn't die in his ending in Street Fighter Alpha 3.
Nah. It's a prequel story, otherwise the whole Akuma/Gouki killing Bison thing wouldn't have made sense.
Dan got replaced by Sean. That or he turned brazillian and changed his name.
Urien and Gill were raised in a company that was a cult that had historic facts of religious studies. Even though Urien became the president of the company, Gill was made into another messiah.
Urien represented Judias in SF3, he tried to get twelve to kill or overthrow his brother Gill.
I think that's why Gill held a tournament, to have people off those creatures for him.

Chun-Li became a teacher at a church (with Bison dead, there was no reason for her to be a police woman anymore) and her student got kidnapped (and somehow it just happened to be Chun-Li's student, now that can't be a coincidence).
I don't even know why Gouki was in SF3. They never showed him a real reason. In SFA Ken and Ryu were about 16-18, so Sakura would be in high school (Ken and Ryu are just skippers XD). If Sakura was in SF2 she would be older and well, not a schoolgirl anymore. Dan, I honestly think he gave up. His business was a complete failure. He got beat left and right. I think he decided to quit and do something constructive with his time. Although I know Dan was friends with Blanka.
Sagat settled things with Ryu in SF2 which is why he wasn't in SF3.
Adon was only in SFA because he wanted to beat Ryu for beating his sensei (Sagat).
