Good catch, she still had the reminance of her hair smart paletting that had previously began. I'll go update the main link and post a patch here too.While you're at it, when she does her Colossus Charge in pals 3-6, sometimes the jacket has a hard time catching up

Also Rogue won't steal from this site's Guile for some reason
If you try to steal from someone on this list and it doesn't work then please help me out by opening that character's def file, copying down the character's name and posting it in this thread so I can add it to future releases of Rogue

I believe Rogue's Deadpool Hyper is a health regeneration move.
This is my favorite 1.0 release so far. I've been waiting for this Rogue ever since the first vid was released. Turned out better than I could have hoped! And then to find out that she's still not done yet? Awesome!

Some feedback/suggestions:
-When charging up the Mega Buster shot using the Roll powerset, Rogue won't "glow" but her portrait will.
-Her throw looks a little bit jerky, especially when she pulls the opponent up towards the top of the throw. On non-super jump stages, it looks like the opponent disappears for a quick second before they are thrown to the ground.
-Speaking of throws (this actually goes for all of the current releases), it would be nice to be able to hold either back or forward to change the direction of the throw. This can be useful for maneuvering out of a corner, or tossing you opponent into one.
-Here's a few names of characters I couldn't steal powers from:

Clearly one of my favorite characters to use in MUGEN ever, but I have yet another annoying set of questions:
I see that all the ACT files are not separate and editable. The whole character in general is not really editable for that matter. (no sprites in FF, etc) This is all I want to do. I want to disable all palettes except for the Classic Rogue one, the new costume, and possibly the X-Treme one. (When I try in the DEF, no matter which one I leave, it only chooses the first one, the modern one.) Also to change the small select icon and large portrait to the Classic Rogue one. Is there a way to do any of that?
Other than that, I have no gripes. I have MANY MANY compliments! This character is amazing and I applaud all the effort that went into her! She delivers like DOMINOES! :D
Quick question...is her folder supposed to be missing the .act files? Cause when I extract her files, there are only 17 total in the folder and no .act files at all. I tried redownloading and the same results. Is this normal?
Till fighter factory 3 comes out, you won't be able to change alot because of the complex coding manuver Acey had to pull for all the powers set and changes that occur, like Rogue's skin changing color or sprouting Nightcrawler's tail.
Do you have a list of which authors the specials will stea; from? there is at least 5 different wolverines out there

You know, I really appreciate SanjiSasuke saying exactly what he did. Flat out bashing, especially by some of the users who obviously didn't even download the character, is simply not helpful. Then there are the absolutely useless comments like "the portrait doesn't have the background cut out" or when someone actually has the balls to speak up trying to put them down by saying "Acey sends others to talk for him". I have a community to run so you can keep this as a flat appology across the board for not logging into MFG every day in the off chance that someone might decide to post up one of my characters here. Sanji probably wasted most of his time here saying exactly what I would have said about useless critisism but at least Cyanide took a second to give some actually useable feedback. That is a plus as far as I'm concerned.
@ Cyanide, I can learn a lot from your post. Information that I can continue to use in future character creations. I havn't seen the MvC2 hitbox charts you've mentioned so I'll need to check them out, I expect they'll be a lot like Marvel Super Heroes and MvC3. Overall, most sincerely, thanks for speaking up. I should mention though your comment about how Rogue is able to do combos inverse does not seem acurate to me. You can't go from MK to LP while standing, crouch or jumping. Neither can you go from MP to LK.
@ Those who need a little night time reading, A little bit about my work here, I'm not creating a MvC2 or MvC1 character, that's cool for those who do exactly that, and some did it very well (Splode, Mystic Blaze) but my take on mugen is that you need to be creating for the engine. All the moves and timing in rogue are matched with the character. I'm also one of those who has a problem with hitboxes as you'll find them on the VS series, litterally from CotA on through MvC3 but if you want an discourse on hit boxes theology that will be saved for another day. The ReadMe file points this out but Rogue uses the typical Magic Combo series as well as the typical L,M,H, with appropraite chainging into Supers and Hypers. As Cynaide points out you can chain go straight from LP up to a HP which is typical. There are no combo loops here so no need to assume there might be. In regards to the stance most everything matches up with the rest of the animations perfectly except for the one frame Cynaide mentioned, I'll be sure to tidy that up. Her 50 power sets are all spelled out in the ReadMe file as well, plans continue to make Rogue compatable with a wide variety of Mugen characters. All in all Rogue is one of the most complex mugen characters, not only because she can steal moves but also because she has a complete smart palette, a complex jacket helper according to the palette used and triggers to confirm !selfstate in order to handle the helper in a realistic maner while being thrown and such. Rogue also utilized SFFv2 to allow her to change skin color when stealing powers from those like Blanka, Colossus or Beast. One little perks thrown in include growing a tail when stealing from Nightcrawler. There are some cool custom animations such as the "Hyper Mega Man" stolen hyper and the "Ghost Rider bike" stolen hyper. All around she is a very solid character.
Combo Chain 1 = LP->LK->MP->MK->Hard attack (stand, crouch or air), you can skip ahead at any point going forward in this combo stream.
Combo Chain 2 = Light->Medium->Hard (stand, crouch or air), again, you can skip medium if you want.
Normals Chain into Specials. Specials into Hypers.
In general you can not chain normals into stolen attacks. Most stolen attacks can not be done in the air, excpetions include Hadouken, Mega Buster and Ice Blast.
Nothing is mashable except for LP or LK into itself, which are both precidented.
So for everyone out there who truely wants to play an amazing Rogue, wonderfuly programmed with great chaining, solid gameplay and full of tons of extras then this is a download you won't want to miss. Ignore the liars. I'm always listening. It's those who aren't afraid to speak up against the socail norm who change the world.

Hey Acey, I love your Rogue and really enjoy playing her BUT, one question.
Was it intentional for her to be able to Chain SPECIAL TO SPECIAL *Cap locks for a reason* or not?reason I ask was because this can lead into some combos that should not be doable, like ground Repeating punches to the Rising Repeating punches to Air Repeating punches,etc and they don't have to hit either; you can miss and STILL cancel it into another special.
Reason I'm pointing this out is because... well, No one else, here OR at the guild, has *unless that's what Cyanide ment on the chaining issue*.
Fury Punch can chain into Fury Uppercut. It can only chain back into Fury Punch again if you're in the corner. If either of these chains are done you lose the opportunity to Fury Punch chain into Hyper Fury Punch, since Hyper Fury Punch is a ground only hyper so it is a viable option if your hyper meter is less than 1 level.
Also I'd like to point out another thing I just noticed.
When she starts Round 2 she starts a hyper before the announcer says "Fight" and then cancels the hyper afterwards
@ JagwarKnight - Fury Punch shouldn't be able to chain into Power Drain, I'll fix that. Power Drain should only be chainable from normal attacks. In general stolen powers aren't chainable from the normal attacks but I see how Thor's stolen power, without a soft knockdown, can be an infinite. I don't know if this is an issue with Rogue or with Haggar (though I think it's with Rogue because it hasn't happened to anyone else so far.):
After you grab Rogue with Haggar and press Forward and K, when they impact the ground a clone of Rogue is created temporarily.
Also, while I'm here, I'm using the IMT screenpacks and Haggar's Intro and Ending do not play in the red one (I haven't tried the blue one yet.)
***Edit**** Nevermind, the clone thing must have been a crazy fluke. I can't recreate it.

a question for the bossman: how did you get the music for the stages to sound so capcomny lol!! i had to grab the individual releases cuz the full game would've blown up my my touch 4g on 2g speed!! lol
All the music in the full game X-Men: Second Coming was made by WizzyWhipItWonderful who made all the music in the style of capcom's soundboards. He reused theme already established for characters and created all new themes for characters who didn;t have their own yet.
Actually, all the music minus the end credits was custom CPS2 Originals, some he had done before, others created specifically for XSC.Yeah he's awesome.

When i try to download some characters like rouge i get a "steamread error" meassage in the sff and the character wont show up on mugen. what's up with that. Also, to improve rogues abilitites include outside anime character profiles. Ex. Bleach, Naruto, Dbz, and King of Fighters.
