Oh yeah i forgot to mention that. When you make a character hires the palettes will not work anymore so you will need to make new ones.

Great tutorial! I definitely noticed the detail in difference between the old sprite and the new sprite. Maybe I should start doing this after my next char for my next char.. lol..

Good Vid. I believe the chars u mentioned were made with PSP. Im glad you made the bottom vid too b/c I saw the YouTube one first and you cant really see the difference.

Hey guys great news. Last night i got 4 sprites done of Silent Storm and am already on my sixth sprite. Man this is starting to become a lot easier to me. ;D

I tried doing that but you have to clean every single sprite after that. try changing the background and you will see. Now what I will do is resize the sprite 2x and just trace it.

Exactly - because you're editing it in RGB mode you're getting a lot of anti-aliasing around the edges. Looks good against the pink background but if you change it I think you're gonna see he has a pinkish outline caused by the anti-aliasing. So yeah I think dennis is right, there's gonna be a lot of cleanup work required if you do it like this.
