Its a great idea, ide love to play with a gutsman that does more then just throw rocks all the time...

I would suggest working on the head, it doesnt quite fit with the rest of his body... perhaps if you tryed making hulk's jaw more jagged and round at the top it would help...

Good luck

Cool. Needs some work though. You should try to sprite a custom head cause the current head just isn't working out, plus it looks like his neck is too long.

First, Gutsman don't have a neck, so you may fuse his head with the chest.
Second, instead of just tossing rocks and boulders, he could use grappling moves, taking advantage of his enormous body, like Zangief and Griffon.
Plus, you could get some ideas from the Gutsman that Scar posted for poses.
Good Luck!

its a pretty ok edit but to make a personal opinion. I would not use him for gutsman. gutsman doesnt have muscles and isnt made to look human by any stretch og the animation. Why not use colloseus? That would be in my personal thought a good base if your doing an edit

Good point.

mastersatoshyx , play around with a couple of bases before you actually start the heavy editing.

Agreed. That Hulk edit looks decent, but I'm not sure that's the best base for this character. Juggernaut might be another good one to experiment with as a base for Gutsman.

realistically you coem into the same problem as the hulk by using juggy. you want a base that is easy to use but not something that is muscled or humanlike in stance. if not collosus I might explore tyring o use robocop and scale him up

I think Juggernaut is a best option for edit, because he is big and doesn't have a neck(he actually have a neck, but his muscles overgrow it, making it look like he don't have), and his stance and size matchs Gutsman better.

After you solved this problem, we could think about his moves!

I honestly like the edit.  Hulk seems like a good base.

I'm a big fan of someone working on Gutsman in MVC style but I don't think he is that much bigger then Megaman to use Juggernaut as a base though...  Here is the site to get sprites for him.  Good luck editing to make him, maybe it will be a good base for you and your imagination.   :)
There used to be a Gutsman pic with a edited sprite in it that was in the old Cutman wip form that Mambojambo made.

As I remember from the very first Megaman game, Gutsman is about double the size of Megaman, but in the Power Battle/Power Fighters, he looks smaller.

Nice start.  Shiny spots = bad.  it will always mess up your pal when you want to change it.  For shading tips look at my megaman sprite.  Check where your light source comes from.  and try to keep your shading rounded.  theres too many straight lines in your shading where there shouldnt be.  Nice to see someone doing a megaman character without megaman as a base.

Juggernaut still seems big if you wont go with coloseus or robocop, what about using potempkin as gutsman?

you're all wrong... %-(

1. if you use juggernaut's sprite... juggy's head is too big [-X
2.gutsman got small head right? :-@

3. so if juggy's the base i think you have to make the head big too because his going to be so damn looking robot :-??
