Capcom has confirmed that 12 new fan-favorite characters will be available as Downloadable Content (DLC) on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC versions of Street Fighter X Tekken later this year. The playable characters will make their debut on the PS Vita system when the game is released this fall, with the console and PC versions receiving them as DLC soon after. The character information and files were intentionally included on retail versions of the PS3 and Xbox 360 game to save hard drive space and to ensure for a smooth transition when the DLC is available, allowing players who choose not to purchase the content the ability to play against players that did. More specifics regarding pricing, dates and other additional exciting DLC plans for Street Fighter X Tekken will be shared at a later date. As a reminder, the retail version of the game will be the only disc-based version consumers will need to own and all future upgrades will come from post-launch DLC. The new characters fighting their way onto Street Fighter X Tekken are... from the Street Fighter side... Blanka, Cody, Dudley, Elena, Guy and Sakura will be playable and from Tekken... Alisa Bosconovitch, Bryan Fury, Christie Monteiro, Jack, Lars Alexandersson and Lei Wulong will all be available.

@Swiziga: with how large the current roster is, trust me you'll be occupied well by the time six months go by for the 12 dlc chars. For example,  If you care about synergy between your 2 chars & using the right gems to boost your team, you probably won't have time to really go through the current roster, let alone 12 new chars....not that I'm justifying waiting 6 months, but really there is a lot that SFxT offers out of the box from the start to digest in 1 sitting.

Damn,,,You and Swiz said the same sh*t i was feelin..i REALLY dont like the music..usually Capcom be on point with music at times. but in this game its pretty wack. Only theme i like seriously is the Blast Furnace...it grew on me a bit (pause)

But im confident when TEKKEN x street fighter drops the music will be on point. Namco really gets into the composing in those Tekken games

Download Mega Man, Pac-Man for PS3 SFxT on March 13

Quote
The PlayStation 3 version of Street Fighter X Tekken arrives with bonus characters Cole, Toro and Kuro available right away. Just one week later, you can hop online and pick up (for free) two additional fighters for the PS3 edition.
As of March 13, weirdo versions of these timeless characters will be available for download on PS3. "Mega Man" is based off the notorious bad box art from the original NES game (which also inspired the promotional art for Mega Man 9 and 10) and then Pac-Man rides around a Mokujin mech-thing that shoots lasers. I couldn't have come up with something stranger if I tried. OK, maybe put them on a unicycle and I think we've hit Max Weird.

@Demonkai: yep, early in SFxT's production, I wasn't digging the music at all. Still isn't that great, as it sound like mashed-up sounds. I'm learning to just "tune" it out while playing.

@Moon Girard: mind telling me how to do custom soundtracks? I don't see an option for that.

Just add some music to your Playstation, press the home button, go to music, and select the track you want to listen to. Same way you do it in SSF4 and Tekken 6. :thumbsup:

@Moon Girad:
And yeh Moon G. School us on that because i dont see that option...UNLESS you mean download music into the system and then play it through as you start the game up. I used to do that at times for soul calibur 4 :-??

Oh man, they done it again... ???
And what they are saying about it is making no sense.  I'm trying to grab that logic - we placed characters on disc, but you can't use them now, when you played enough with others we say that you may buy them now(new amazing DLC) or not, if not - you still can see someone other bought them and drool, that will make you pay for them too.
Well, while that's good for milking, probably, it's very disgusting. I hoped that they've learned on previous examples that stuff like this causing a lot of anger. Not to say it's rightful anger. \-/o
---
And yeah, we voted for what has been already decided and on disc, grrrrr \-/o >o:-(

actually what they did makes sense this time. the dlc is there so that the game remains compatible whether you have the characters or not. in ssf4 ae this wasn't the case and i myself had to switch back to ssf4 having the characters unavailable to me whenever i went online and someone didn't have the ae update. there are many people who complained about not being able to play others just because they had new characters since they wanted to atleast see what they were like. i'm personally not bothered by it  :-?? before jill and shuma people couldn't play each other/choose dlc characters if other people didn't have them.
