From what ive played myself the game is hot. The whole gems thing is under debate. Only thing i kept hearing and reading is those gems are "supposedly optional". Theres many modes to the game where you can play it a certain way. So i assume you can turn them off. Also like swiziga said they dont do much at all anyway. The main one that does the most is the pandora mode and now thats been tweaked so you can only do it (if you want) when you energy is extremely low and flashing.

Dont down it yet until youve played it. I had mixed feelings myself before the gems were even introduced. So once i actually played the game at the Capcom fight club last summer my mind was a bit more open about it. The due date in 2012 is a hot while from now. Give it time homie^^

I hope the Gems are optional...they dont seem to give tooo much of a boost but still. Last thing we need is another X-factor-esque power up in a fighting game.

Just watched the vid with Rolento! Can't wait to play as him. Always been one of my favorite Street Fighter characters.

I think Poison is kind of pointless for this game though... I would've rather seen Hugo, Sagat, or even Cammy if she's not in this yet.
