Just a little while ago, I found out that there were episodes of Captain Simian and the Space Monkeys on YouTube. CS was an old cartoon I used to watch, and have some fond memories of.

I was watching one and... I was amazed at how a particular death managed to make it through...

It's around the halfway point of the video, if the current pic shown in the unplayed video didn't tip you off.

Am I offended? No. I'm just really, really surprised something like this got by.

Maybe I'm too used to how the FCC and 4Kids ruin stuff. I mean, ABC/Fox/Whatever Family cut out parts from the Megaman shows for violence... Seeing *this* makes me wonder if anyone got fired for this.

wow.....I remember that show.....cartoons used to be more open to violence have you seen any looney toon epsiodes or tom and jerry they cut out alot of things now like the toons getting shoot in the face or shooting themselves or getting hit with some objects

I think it only flew because he came back to life from it.

And with standards not being as strict at the time it was aired it was all good i would assume.

That just goes to show ya kiddies, if you get blown to bits of bone and blood, you'll be fine if space robots find you.

I wasn't a fan though, at that same hour they aired Cadillacs and Dinosaurs in my country, and after that Biker Mice From Mars. Those two cartoons rock HARD!

This show must have VERY obscure or otherwise too many parents would be complaining and the show will go off air  :)

I remember that one by watching the video...and yes...censoring animated shows was nothing compared to what is now...i never knew what the hell happened to Pharaoh Man in the first season of the Megaman.EXE anime...

Yeah, I heard the anime was censor-raped. I even saw a site that listed off all the censored and cut parts of the episodes.
