I've never been much into Street Fighter Mugen characters....

but i always had an idea what would Ryu look like very old!

I wanted to ask everyone here what they would think of him being a WIP??

Oh! i wouldn't work on GMRyu till i'm done with all my Amalgam stuff.... but Hyena is coming along very very well!

but when I think Grand Master Ryu I imaged him looking like this

Well i wanted to go with a much much older version of Ryu.... because you know he would be one bad MF when he is old...

yes he would be... like yoda is

actually thats a idea, maybe a intro where he comes in with a cain and suddenly discards it when he notices the enemy

maybe more wrinklier and have him wear slippers, old peoples feet get cold easily

it's funny because when i started mugen he was the first char i remember saying, somebody needs to make him. so you could imagine how excited i get when i see your avi. and i know it might be a while, but about how long will we be waiting for this project.

I think he would defenitly have like beads arround his neck, cuz from what i seen masters of their art have them or something.

I like the idea and the look so far, i say keep it up.

Well i will be more than glad to work on Grand Master Ryu later on after AOS, because i realy like the idea of an old ryu.

Well if you have been checking out SGM you will see our Project is moving along very fast... we already have 3 characters released and a screenpack and stages.... everyone of us at SGM are working hard! and if i keep the pace i have been on Hyena it should't be to long before you see him in action.

Well here is some new stuff i just finished doing!

i havn't added the beads yet, but here is what his Fireball move will look like.... all his fireballs will be done with one hand.

nice work!

dont really care for the cane cuz it makes him look like an LOTR wizard/hermit instead of a fighter.
if your gonna give him a cane though, at least make him stand/walk with it. Id suggest moving it down in his hand.

This is very interesting. Personally, I would go with the one Black Ice mentioned but it's all good.
