guide for easystage....
« on: August 11, 2007, 04:54:12 PM »
what you will need:
sff file(assuming you created one)
sprmaker(comes with easystage)
EASYSTAGE!(get at randomselect first result)

now open easystage...
go to stage--->Opciones
now for the first bar: go to the sff file location
second bar: select music(but you wont need one, maybe)
thrid bar: location of sprmaker(locate the easystage one)

after all of that click stages--->Crear

now you created your def file exit easystage.

a few things to change:
spr = stages\filenamehere.sff

to:
spr = stages/filenamehere.sff

if you did not add music.
remove sound/
from
bgmusic = sound/

remove this its not needed

p2startx = 160
p2starty = 0

you have to center it....

start = 0(x axis),0(y axis)

play around with that...

Easystage is confusing. (for me at least)

I just base all of my stage on the last one I made. :P

good luck with your stage.

use the bucket tool to make the pink of the sprites black.

then save your sff file.

open your def file.

now go to your sprites they you have made the pink black:

find mask  = 0

change to:

mask  = 1

hmmm make a new sff file.

then use the bucket tool in fighter factory to the area that you want transparency to be in your sprite.

what bucket tool?

when you go to the sprites section.

there should be a bucket pouring stuff.

click it and make the spots you want to be transparent black.

why doesn't disappear when you make the back black, but some of the color from the stage sprite turns gray?

when you make the sff file.

when you add a image to the sff file.

a black sprite appears, just delete the black sprite.

save the sff and you should be good.
