2008 is oficially the year of the crossover game.

(This is just a rumor, so take it with a grain of salt.)

There's a rumor going around the net that Capcom and Sega are going to reveal a new crossover game titled Capcom Vs Sega: Great Clash Generation at the Tokyo Game Show next week. The alleged game is a hybrid RPG/Fighter set to come out in 2009 for the DS, with a possible PSP port later on.

(I need a few seconds to fetch the link, as my internet is acting wonky at the moment.)

So lets count the crossovers we've had announced/released this past year...

Smash Bros Brawl
Soul Calibur 4 (Pretty sure this qualifies...)
Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom
Mortal Kombat Vs DC Universe
Dissidia: Final Fantasy
Warriors Orochi 2

Wow. That's a lot of crossovers for one year.

Yeah, Axel and Blaze from SoR vs Ryu and Chun Li is actually my Number 1 Dream matchup. (Number 1 was Mario & Sonic but we already got that...)

Also, I'd like to see them bring back Ristar or Toe Jam & Earl.

Well, Mega Man has an abnormally huge head, and Sonic is chubby, so I'ma go out on a limb and say it's from the early nineties.
