Well I'm assuming you have a second desktop so... grab a external HDD(your Ipod can be used), open your case(unplug your computer too!), remove the HDD, place the HDD in another computer(hook up the cables!) and back up the important files you want from the main windows on the computer to the external HDD. After that move the HDD back to the computer, reinstall Windows, and wipe everything off.

go to download.com and download Malwarebytes anti malware. let it run a full system scan no matter how long it takes and make sure you choose to remove all checked or selected when the scan finishes if another problems occurs afterward then let me know ok

Well next time be careful of what you do online. If you avoid the bad sites you should have a very little amount of problems.

i hope u didnt click the sirens and the popup. Did u try to close the popup? If so thats what did it. I found it easier if a virus tries to popup on screen and it gives u the ok and cancel option i jus unplug my internet cord from my computer then click on ok or cancel or whatever then when it tries to take u to a virus site it cant lol it will jus say page is unavailable cuz ur not on the net. So i close it out then put the internet cord back in then continue surfing lol

Yes don't touch anything if a popup occurs(your own firewall does not EVEN notify you of the virus). Also don't use IE as IE uses a thing called Active X that allows programs to be installed in your system to allow some cool services but has more virus entering potential.

Here is a read about Active X:
