Need help with air combo pop up.

I would like to know how to make characters pop up for air combos, I know how to code for the chain combos, but I have know clue on how to code for a pop up on an upper cut to do an air combo.  The characters that I am adding this to will not have super jump, so the pop up would only go up to about the same height as a normal jump.  If anyone can help me I would really appreciate this.
