How to configure the Xbox 360 controller d-pad for mugen

ok so this is what i did(and plz bear in mind this is my first tut)

...........1)downloaded Xpadder from here http://xpadder.com/download.html

2)mapped entire controller (I have Xbox 360) and saved as profile for config.

3)clicked on settings(the small icon almost directly above the controller image) and changed "direction pad" in the"Quick set-up" menu to WSAD and save your profile.

4)ran winmugen and configured the keyboard config of "up,down,left,right" to "W,S,D,A" which is your xbox360 dpad
