Sammy Vs Capcom Why was it cancelled?

Well the Subject says it all.I hear one of the reasons why it got cancelled is because everyone wanted the style of the chars and gameplay of the game Guilty Gear since the graphics are hi res and the music is emo and rock.So capcom said no.At least that's what I heard.Does anyone know any of the reasons why the game got cancelled?

  I tried to look it up but all I got was CFJ/CFE was the last SF b/c Noritaka Funamizu(Creator of Street Fighter) left Capcom in 2003. Cant find anything official. Just a bunch of forums talking about & wanting the game.

Try and look it up on Gamespot.I think that's where I got the info.Or was it somewhere else?Darnit I cannot remember.But I hope someone knows why it was cancelled.

Oh, and @MunkyMouf: Funamizu is not the creator of Street Fighter. He's just the main producer guy. (yes, main producer guy) Yoshiki Okamoto is the creator of Street Fighter.

My point exactly.I mean that explains why no one makes chars in the following list

Breath of Fire
Final Fantasy
Chrono Trigger
Star Ocean
Super Mario RPG
Fullmetal Panic
Love Hina
Negima

And more all these creators want to make for mugen is Ryu,Ken and Goku.
If I could make chars then I'd do this myself but alas I try and fail.

(Ryu Ken and Goku is my way of saying that all the creators do is make a character that thousands already exist for mugen.Those three were examples.)

Im sure we all wouldnt mind seeing something new. Im starting to tire of the shotos myself now. Im just looking for Big Guys like Potemkin from any game now. I dont see too many mugenized.
