Well of the group who would probably work well for such things IS Star-Lord. Gamora's base sprites don't have any walking animation (Karai doesn't have much going for her in terms of animations). And Rocket Raccoon is VERY work intensive (though NOT impossible)... so I might just use them as assists or specials for Star-Lord. The Batman was just a fun little thing I threw together for a one-off. Resizing the mobile sprites was a pain. ;p
Would love to bring in Groot... but can't think of how to approach him. Any suggestions?

*shrugs* tried to make a better-looking Dynamo from that 'Invincible Ironman' game. He met the size requirements... it's just that the original sprite's helmet has this weird (^^) kinda face... so I edited it a bit and put in more red to the sprite.
THEN I remembered that one short-lived 'Dynamo' story, about some secret armor made by Vanko falling into the hands of a Russian youth. Always DUG that design, so tried to replicate it. Thus the more 'bronze' looking Dynamo to the right. And made him a bit shorter. *still deciding*

Gorilla Man
I LOVE 'Golden Age' Marvel, and always DUG the Agents of Atlas concept. So tried to make a sprite for the incredibly AWESOME Gorilla Man. Noticed that a different Beast sprite was being used for that 'Battle Force' game... so picked one from that 'Reign of Apocalypse' GBA game... especially since he has the required posture. Then snagged the head of King King from that GBA 'Eighth Wonder of the World' game.

Tried to make Max Thunder from the Streets of Rage series. But decided against re-using old reliables like Zangief/Hulk/etc. and picked that Chadha guy from that 'Yatagarasu' game instead. Used the head of the Monk from Martial Masters, (heavily edited of course) and the hair from SFA Cody as well as some parts from the original SEGA sprite itself.

Edited the sprites to make them resemble their movie/cinematic counterparts.
Thor is just there for height purposes, didn't edit him at all. Just recolored the Hulk sprite to match the film version's scheme. The rest were definite attempts to remodel those sprites.
The one on the far right is Falcon without his wings. Trying to find/make said wings is proving to be a challenge. Made him using the Colossus from the X3 GBA game.
Credit for the Black Widow, War Machine and Hulk sprites goes to the original editers.
Hope they look good. Tempted to try and make sprites for the collected villains that have appeared so far. THAT or bring in Fury or Coulson.

Used X3 Iceman for Coulson, had to really resize him in some aspects to make him proportional to other sprites.
Used Royce from Demon Hunter Legend and the head of the Red Skull from the Captain America and the Avengers arcade game to make the cinematic Red Skull.
Used the Abomination from the SNES Hulk game to make his cinematic counterpart.

AND the Loki sprite isn't an edit... just trying to rip some sprites of Loki from the NDS Thor game. Noticed a distinct lack of movie Loki on spriting sites that have sheets for Thor, Odin, Sif, Volstaag, Fandral, Hogun and frikkin' THROG (the Frog-Thor) but not Loki.

Did you rip the Thing sprites yourself? I've been looking for sprite sheets from the GBA Fantastic Four game for a while now.
Yeah I've ripped the sprites.... but only from the side so i could edit them to try and make a Thing sprite for O'Illusionista's project.... but that's slowed down.

Was very tricky in some spots to try and get the walk cycle to look good... and even then i have no clue if it's correct.
