My first contribuition to DCvM project, he is a request by Wucash to be Parasite counter....
for now im starting making shared smart pallets to him

hyper portrait with shared pallets...

but im not so good with colors, so here is a template with a stand and the smart pallet.

Now this is certainly a surprise. I never was fond of Omega Red, so hopefully you will be able to chamge my mind.

He should have his Death Spores to slowly poison the opponent. Other than that I can think of any moves that Capcom didn't give him. A drain health move is obviously a must.

I remember in the comics and in the Hulk vs. Wolverine movie....he picked up wolverine with his tentacles or whatever they are, and slammed him to the ground! ^-^

Looks great and really liking the smart pal. He was always one of my fav looking chars, but one I always didn't use for his lack of moves. Hope you definitely give him something interesting. Always felt the same way about Juggernaut too.

I never expected that your gonna make Omega Red. He was one of my favorite characters to play in Marvel Super Heroes Vs. Street Fighter. Good luck on this project. :)

This looks awesome so far. The smart palettes is a good idea. I'm just curious though, how come you say "No More WIPS"? You're like one of the only single creators (non-project) that actually makes Marvel and DC characters, and they're always awesome. The mugen community needs you, you can't stop now.

he will have all moves from COTA, but the MvSF he only have a simple new hyper, a auto-combo, i dont want to keep that.

   I didn't bother with him for a long time in MvC2 but then when I took the time, I kicked butt. You say you are looking for new ideas for moves, I agree that Omega Red is a tough one to come up with.
   I think I might have a neat Idea, though it might only be a half a one. In the comics recently(Wolverine Origins) he was looking for a Carbonadium(The metal his tentacles are made of) Synthesizer, I think he was finally dying( :-?? but he is undead already)
   What if you did a massive move that was like live or die when he has low life like Banshee. Where wolverine shows up with the synthesizer and they fight like hell and the collateral damage will either hurt or, not the opponent. Maybe you could do like a God of War thing where they have to press the buttons in a sequence, in order to avoid the damage or just rapid press like on Sandman and Wonder Woman.

I'm gonna hafta admit, Omega wasn't one of my favorite characters. Ever. But I've seen the work that you do, Z, and you could make something worth liking. (Hell, you got me to look at an Aquaman for Mugen, and I hate him.)

All I can say is, if he's as good as your Spiderman, he'll be awesome.

As for attack ideas, I think the spores slowly draining your opp's life would be most appropriate. One idea for death spores could be a semi-transparent cloud appearing like a protective shield around Omega. Strider has something like this, so do Magneto, DrDoom and Storm by Kong. You could take it a step further by having him get back life when the opp takes damage. I never liked Omega Strike, I always figured he could club you with the tentacles instead of propelling his whole body at you. Another problem with what Capcom did to him was give him bad proportions. As the Vs games kept being produced, chars became bigger and bigger. Officially, Omega is bigger than Sabretooth, Dr.Doom and Venom, but you wouldn't be able to tell by the games. Don't know if you want to go through the trouble of resizing him, though.

Maybe for some hypers, you could have him grab an opponent by the legs with one or more of his tentacles, and dangle him upside down in front of Omega Red while he pounds the crap out of him with his hands and feet, or other tentacles, then throws him against the wall when he's done.  =P~ Totally. You could also maybe add a move where Omega Red latches onto an opponent with his tentacles, and strectches them apart like what happens to William Wallace in Braveheart. Just some ideas. I don't know too much about Omega Red though.

Another problem with what Capcom did to him was give him bad proportions. As the Vs games kept being produced, chars became bigger and bigger. Officially, Omega is bigger than Sabretooth, Dr.Doom and Venom, but you wouldn't be able to tell by the games. Don't know if you want to go through the trouble of resizing him, though.

Zvitor could always use Hulk as a base for re-sizing him. :-??

I Think this version is just for DCvM.

but i dunno if Z is going to make a completely different version for EOH.

im fan of EoH, and im fan of DCvM too, unfortunately only way to contribuite with DCvM project is if i acept exclusive terms.... so this is the perfect way to contribute with project because EoH already have the best Omega around (Kong), so it is not one spot less in marvel eoh roster.

i think kongs has alot of the sprites for the ideas im bout to suggest.

omega red body is at subzero tempertures. thats how he live and cant die(maybe some low type cold move nothing thats gonna freeze a enemy forever.

ok i been thinkin of these ideas...

.maybe hard punch can be his tentical extends and hit his enemy.(like dhalsim) along range attack but normal when close

.same for the hard kick except it extends on a angle in the air but normal when close

.for medium attack can be like a tentical slice.downward vertical motion and crouchin medium a horizontal slice. maybe use silver samurai ice sparkle sprites on the tentical when its strikin(im sure a few sharp ice sickels will develop on his tentical after while :-??)


.regular moves....


.qcf+x,his tentical can spin from his hand (like a helicopter motion)

.qcf+y,his tentical can spin from his hand (buzzsaw motion) .i think on the regular omega red this was performed by holdin down z..so i guess that sprite can be used

.qcf+z, you could use his crouching medium punch sprite except he leaps in the on a 45 angle with his tentical extended spinin(buzzsaw motiom) like his very own dragon uppercut  
(could all string together like rolento)

.qcf+a,he spins on his back with tentical extended(helicopter motion). maybe use his crouchin sprite and turn him upside down.

.qcf+b,he leaps barrel role style with tenticals extended(buzzsaw motion)

.qcf+c,u could his regular hard punch air move where he swing tentical in different directions




.qcb+x,tentiacal grab from croching postion(energy drain or shock)

.qcb+y,tentical grab,standing 45 angle(energy drain or shock)

.qcb+z,tentical grab verticaly in the air(energy drain or shock)


.qcb+a,tentical grab pull enemy close to u

.qcb+b,tentical grab throw u to the other side of the screen

.qcb+c,tentical grab that freeze enemy, red body could flash blue to show his freeze burst from his body.(could use the cold sprites from his regular intro)


.rapidly press a punch button(could use the weak punch sprites of both arms) and both tenticals can come out in out his arms in a fast mid range motion.  like chun li lightin leg kick


.hypers.....


.the tentical grabs u, red hits the opponent back and foruth like a paddle ball while they are attached to his tentical

.tentical on right and left side of red spin n a buzzsaw motion,stones and metal chunks go flying towards the enemy(huk,thanos,blackheart..have rock sprites, magneto have chunks of metal sprites)

.a ice spike tentical melee hyper.

.make contact,then both tenticals pick up opponent and holds them in the air, red does numerous kicks, "russain
pinyata" lol

.make contact,both tenticals pull a stone wall out the ground (thanos has a stone wall in his sprites)behind enemy, using the support of the wall red swings forward, and kicks opponent though the wall. "tombstone kick"

.make contact,then (using both of thanos stone wall sprites) he jumps directly over  enemy and close the wall with opponet between."stone sandwhich" lol crack myself up.

.make contact, while oppnent lays on the ground,(use the hulk boulder from his hyper sprites)the tenticals grab a boulder out of the ground, and smashes opponent repeaditly like 6 hits."boulder moshpitt"

.a super drain, opponet shrinks  a little...its like red havin his own midnight bliss

.or a two handed spinin tentical knunchucks melee.


.like a flyin mode....he walks back and forth on his two tenticals...like doc octopus

.when u hold up he extends up,when u hold down he goes down to the ground and returns to his normal mode.

.in tentical mode x,y,z, could be replaced by a,b,c, air moves


(the regular red had similar sprites to these suggegtions)

.a,could be red shoots straight down like a two foot stomp

.b,could be red shoots down south east or south west with a ice spike on his foot.

.c,could be a electrified shoulder charge straight across.

.while in tentical mode hypers...


. a hyper in this mode could be,since the tentical are in the ground already,ice can travel all over the ground.(maybe just make the hulks ground wave hyper make the stones light blue)

. hes already in the air so he could spin around and be air bourne with tentical spinin coverin the whole screen.

.maybe use blackhearts ice thing that shoots up from the ground for a period of time.(like kens hyper where he goes straight up in the air)

.while suspened in the air he releases energy and electricity shoots all over the screen.

exclusivity is not bad, you see every project needs to have something unique or exclusive to it, for example kong's omegared and vs styled characters were made/are exclusive to IMT and the EOH project.

well, not exactly, the sprite packs are open source, the full characters/codes/coded characters are to be used for IMT projects only/exclusively.

I think it's great that Kong made all that stuff for EOH . Many people tend to dog him , but Kong has a lot of heart . I don't think there are many creators that single handedly  put out as many creations as Kong . He rips the sprites , does his own coding , & puts out 3 characters a week . You have to have respect for a guy that can do all that on his own  :thumbsup:

no mvc portrait, because it show off diferent from dcvm hyper portraits
..

Almost identical to an intro I have done for Rhino. Has been sprited for the longest time, just not fully coded yet. o.O#

Is he going to have Lady Deathstrike as helper? i saw in the movie Hulk vs Wolverine that she was in team with Omega Red with Sabretooth. And does this mean that Polaris project is frozen for the moment?

although that movie was awsome, I'd like to say that omega red is not a part of weapon X.

He's just basicly the Russian version of Wolverine.
