i am new to posting here about my works but those who followed the progress
of dante and gouken are in for some new treats.
dante is getting some new updates while gouken is getting some
sf4 spice to him. so here is a video if you haven;t seen it:

the updates are only to keep it fresh and up to date with the sf4 version in some ways. but i hear you.

once the game play is done we will finalize the sprites like we did with DJ for gouken.
but there was a request for combo videos using gouken and the best video would have earned an early play
of the new dante fixes. guess no one wanted in.

Hey Feelgood, I don't know this guy.. never used his Gouken or tried his Dante. With that said, whatever he did elsewhere is just that, elsewhere. You aren't helping anything by starting a little spat with him or anyone here glad to see him posting at Infinity. I will mute you if you keep this up.

too lazy to do it theme selves. so in my efforts
i got bashed if danted or gouken didn't
meet there standards.
so no i wasnt the one complaining it was them.

i wonder what happened. oh well when dante gets to a point with his sprites that he can be presented better i might allow him to be used for one of those huge projects as a guest character for promotions. for the game and dante himself.
but we will hold off on that till gouken , chun li, and dark sean are done.
the last move i am adding is ryus sf3 side kick. working on those sprites now.

You're treading a fine line. You know full well a statement like that can start issues. You don't like the feedback people here give to others? Think it's inferior to other forums? No one really cares what you think when it comes to that. This is his WIP thread to show off/discuss his current work, not a thread to insult this forum (yes, I take it as an insult) to try to JUSTIFY why a comment like "THIS CHARCACTER f**k*** SUCKS. THE LOW PUNCH SPEED IS OFF BY 3 TICKS" That may be accepted at MI or MFG or whatever underground forum you go to but that isn't our style here. Keep those kinds of comments out of the pubic eye where me and others can see it.

Nice progress with Gouken! Just wondering but are you going to do that hadoken thing where he shoots one forward and then one diagonally?

feedback
1-animations could be smoother
eg.stance is choppy .. need more frames to look smooth..ect
2-hair, sword and coat need more shading
3-sword looks out of place in some animations .. specially on the run animation.
4-the sword itself needs to be bigger

Dante is looking great by the way! I need to get one of those draw pads to! I have been doing all my sprites with just the mouse! Also don't forget to include "Jackpot" in Dante's dialouge it's a must! Are you making more of those making of videos with other characters?

since i dont code a crap, i can only state my opinion about sprites, and Dante needs a LOT of work to actualy look like a Dante. i dont mean to be disrespectful, but i only see Rock with a cloak and a red palette that leaves much to desire.
the new design of Gouken looks cool, maybe capitalizing the oportunity, you can up his scale, since he's a "big man"

I'm hoping that Dante will get more detail with the stage 3 sprites... While saying this... just out of curiousity, how high up on the sprites are you willing to go...??? You stopping after stage 5 or 6... I think there definitely needs to be a stage 3, though... I'm not a spriting genius, myself, but the sprites don't look like they have much detail yet... like.. add wrinkles on the cloak, make the pants look a little better.. that's all...
I'm really looking forward to more progress updates as I, myself, am somewhat of a Dante fan... ;*))

The last update(stage3 ) looks nice,still needs work with the stance(make sure he stays with the same stance all the time,i still saw some stance sprites that resembled Rock a lot)

cause i was a noob and developed into a a contender
for titles.

and it wasnt true
i just lacked the skills to fix them, not to mention
i asked for help but
like most people said
read the mugen doc!!!
leaving me to fend for myself.
i had help but they abandonded me when all the ish hit the fan.
i i can win it will be because me and gouken erned it not cause of fan boys sucking each other off.

A lot of chars deserves it. But it can turn into a nightmare sometimes...and it can blind some creators who won an award when the char needs some more work. An award its different from a perfect char.

dante has taken shape faster than he did when i 1st started,
making gouken made me a much better creator.
well for now he got a ton onf new sprites, new intro( 2nd intro)
new win pose 2nd
now he plays like a true GGXX mix
button layout
up ( Punch ) ( Slash ) launcher attack
back fwd
down (Kick ) (Hard slash )
no more mode switch
the slash buttons are the sword attacks
and you will get different slashes like the old version by holding fwd and attack
and for punches that is the same.
i will release more info tomarrow.
but alot of new sprites and some new looks for dante.
i plan to have him done by early summer.

it was so simple and i knew with time i can take care of the most naggin bug.
i added the new stance and hein i will try to add more movment to them. thank you.
i fixed some more hit boxes. took me 4 hours.
gouken is done...... i mean done done and more done. nothing more to add.
the trailer showed him in the state i wanted .
i am adding back the shoryuken cancel into the heavens rusher super since now the damage is fixed.
the updated release is coming int time for COTY.
also he can now cause the screen burst for his project tile supers
with the additon of simple explod codes.
the ryu voice is coming out but since sf4 is coming i might be able to get the real voice for him.
i will release the new gouken tomarrow well i mean today.
i will play with the zoom code before i release him.
