A look beyond 2018.
My first Boss character Vile



The Sprties for Vile are 99% completed.  There's around 200 sprites total.
It's not needed, but I would like to eventually make one more additional winpose. That's the last 1%.
I also put a lot of work into my Megaman X this year, making well over 100 new sprites and fixed lot of other things with the sprites I completed prior.

Vile will play Inside the Mech the entire time. 
All of Vile's basic attacks are punches.  Some of the punches are inspired by the mech's in the later Megaman X games. 
5/6 of the punches are the same with different leg positions for the Standing, Crouching, and Air attacks. 
The other punch for the Standing, Crouching, and Air attack is unique for that position.  This way Vile will be able to do knock ups and Air combos. 
And yes, for one of Vile's hypers he will be able to leave the Mech and do some familiar things from Megaman X1.   ;)

The plan right now for Vile is to have him play similar to Mech Zangief and rush you.
So with the get hit's I only did the needed basic get hits.  No knock up, no knock back, trip, or getting up sprites.

I ripped all of the voices for Vile from Megaman X on the PSP.  I also have the mech sounds from various X games.   :thumbsup:

Hope you have a good coder, if the gameplay is what I think you have in mind.

My thought was to make Vile play like Mech Zangief.  So he'll just keep taking hits and coming at you attacking.
I know Mech Zangief cannot block, but I did make Vile blocking sprites.  We'll see how it all plays out once Vile is coded.
And yes I have an awesome coder that will help when it's time.

Giving the mech a command grab or lariat would be an interesting idea if you're going for the Zangief playstyle  :P

Thanks guys.  I had a lot of fun making this guy, it's larger then what I usually make.
I'm strongly considering making Vile outside the mech as a regular character. 
Perhaps next year, time will tell.  I'm burnt out with Vile for the moment and there is other stuff I'd like to work on before circling back.
For the remainder of this year I'll just be working on stuff that comes up and is needed for the upcoming December Rmm release.

Currently for Vile's throw, with the sprites I made he will reach out and grab you like in MMX1.  Then he can raise his arm up and then his arm goes down to smash you on the ground while holding you.  I suppose he can then smash player 2 on the ground a few times.  We'll see how it ends up working once it's coded.
