I made also a new version with another head to give him a more old school look.



Personally, i like the "old school" version more...

Nevermind the bigger gem on his chest in the very first preview...

Hard Man is supposed to be about twice the size of Mega Man.

Plus his legs are slightly bent.

EDIT: not so slightly XD

EDIT 2: i realized i choose a wrong megaman pic for a good  stance height comparison, as he's not in his full stance. The right stance height comparison should be this.



Anyway, i don't think Hard Man should be higher than this (he's a bit crouched too), i'd like him to don't have so much height difference with other chars. Of course, he is bigger than most of MM robot masters, but a bigger height difference would make him too different from the other chars, and i don't know if this should be good for the project.
Of course, if you think it should be higher, i'll redo him higher  :)

The body is all right. I think the legs and arms should be a bit bigger, however, since you just used Mega's legs and arms.

He could certainly be a nice Juggernaut-type character.

Maybe you're right... his arms and is legs are a bit undersized. I'll work on it! It will take a while 'cause i've already designed some other stuff, but i think it shouldn't be something too much difficult ever for me.

He could certainly be a nice Juggernaut-type character.

I was thinking something like that: i planned a "Hard Cannon" move, is not the same as the Juggernaut Charge (or the way it's called), but the concept is very similar. I know i have to do all the basics before thinking about his moves, but i'm very impatient and i've already designed it, even if it's only an experiment (it really sucks, it's no way definitive, i've done it only to make understand the idea).

Just finished redoing his stance!


I've redone also his crouch animation, but i didn't make an animate gif and i have to go... Tomorrow i'll post also that  :thumbsup:

Me too. The first head is entirely designed by me, but as i said in my first post, i prefer the SAR head a lot. So i think there's no more need to show two preview everytime. If everyone agree, i'll continue my work using the second head!

If his body remains static while he moves, the crystal in the front and the red thing on the lower portion shouldn't be moving.

I'm really liking your progress so far. Everything so far is very unique, and quite fitting for the character. I'm mostly digging that walking animation too. :thumbsup:

Hi! Here's a little update:
Dash foreward
The dash may seem slow, but it's only an animated gif to make understand the idea.

I wanted to show also the walking back animation, but while writing this post i've realized that his right leg has an unnatural movement (it seems made of rubber  o.O#) and it need some fixing.
