This will do. For now. I can't think of anything else to do, i can't personally find any more game breaking bugs. He will have some problems, let me know, drastic stuff will be fixed fast, little annoyances will be fixed fast but possibly not uploaded because i tend to be slack after i finish something (or think somethings finished)

The edits for Hyper Mystic Ray will show up in Graphicus' thread shortly-ish. These are open to everyone who happens to want to recreate that move. I'm also happy if someone wants to point at prettier beam sprites.

I have also uploaded whatever the hell i've done to Omega Red since my last update to him. I can't remember any of the random fixy crap i've done there. Unless something is STILL broken that you reported last time, i'd prefer feedback on Shuma. This is Shuma's thread. Feedback about Omega to PM's or something.

  highlight->  Also, i don't want to re-learn how the balls i coded any of omega and learning all that crap again hurts each time i pick it up

When i go to open him in FF Classic it says "Stream read error" and then when i go to open him in FF Ultimate he loads but his .sff won't load to show his sprites :/ And also i forgot to add the fact that he don't enter back into his original stance after he taunts he just stays in his taunt and his A.I. ain't that good either but besides that he's a great char thanks for the release  ::salute::

This is without a doubt the best Shuma out there. thank you so very much, I can finally play against with Shuma and not feel cheap.

He's 1.0 only, the sff file will only open in FF3.

That's only kinda stuck, i have apparently left a -1 frame on the end of it and used an animtime = 0 changestate. You can press anything and he'll break out. I should go check.

Thanks for the release!  I only ever played the MVC2/3 version of this guy so I'm guessing he may be a different version or a custom edit.  A little sluggish for my tatse, but he's a pretty solid character and I can see how some of the coding might have taken a while on him.  Observations are below:

//Chaos Dimension//When knocked down and performing Chaos Dimension, Shuma Gorath's Hyper Portrait stayed on screen.  It may been just an end of the round type thing since it happened to me twice at that time.

//Mystic Smash//Seems a bit too easy to knock him out of mystic smash.  I was anti air'd and standing punched out of it a lot.  May be intentional by design, but since he only has a few supers it limits his game a bit.

//Mystic Stare//Eyeballs will hit both opponents in Coop Mode.  This may be intentional as well, and I actually kind of like it since they do explode.  Also, your readme states that they explode after 3 seconds, but it takes about 8.  Not sure if it's supposed to be one or the other.  3 seems a little more reasonable, but it would probably be unique to have different timers on different buttons, this way.  It would be a nice mind game for the opponent.

Overall he was fun to play and he's seems to be a very balanced defensive character.  He has trouble with some faster characters but his weak pokes were usually enough for a distraction to use his H.Kick so you could charge a move or use Devitalization.  Thanks again, he's a solid roster addition!

-his timings are more than likely based on games before mvc2
-all of his hitboxes are derived from the same game as his timings
104/150 chars made.

Yeah my guess was Marvel vs Street Fighter but I never did play that one.  I went back in and looked at the hitbox for that, and yeah I can see why I was jabbed out of it lol.  It went well at the early levels, but once I started fighting good AI, they weren't having any of that so I had to abandon the move for more pokey tactics

I've played as Shuma on MvC2 already on PS2. I think he sucks. If you wanna rip a good character, try to do Cable. That guy has a one-button blaster gun. Just keep hitting the attack button and keep blasting. He's one of the best in MvC2.

Anyway another observation I had was that Mystic Stare was stacking, I just forgot to add it.  The most I got on an opponent at one time was four instances.

How do I change the launcher? I don't like pressing D,DF, F to do it.

Is there a way to change it to "DF" (  :3 )

Uh? The launcher is med kick. He's a 6 button character from MSHvSF. He doesn't have any QC commands whatsoever. He also doesn't have MvC2's weird system that has DF+button as a launcher.

LMAO I could of sworn MK gave me a different attack. My fault lol.

EdiT: Ithink theres a problem with Advance guard. There is literally no push back from your opponent at all.

You are correct about that. I intelligently changed that helper into a red clsn box. I have no idea why i forgot what it was for, but i did. Upload in a couple of days, i have a few more bits and bobs to fix up.

I was having fun with him and trying out some combos. I try to look at a youtube video of MSHvSF version of shuma for tips.



I notice at 4 secs, The Up Strong punch (diagonal beam) pushes the opponent a little further up in the air then what yours does.

Is that intentional?
